Had a very nice stay at this hotel. The staff is excellent, from reception to the kitchen staff to housekeeping, everyone seems professional and helpful. Had the pleasure to meet two wonderful staff members Jenny and Liza, who were so very forthcoming to help us out with our random breakfast demands, literally made our day with the ever present smile on their faces and the helpfulness. Just back from a 2 night stay 22 ladies for a hen weekend lovely hotel about a 5 minute drive from city center taxi only cost about £7 and can be rang from the hotel which is handy was a little disappointed with the rooms they looked a lot larger when we seen photos of triple room but triple rooms where just a double bed and a pull out sofa bed so 2 of us had to share a double and not a lot of room to move around but rooms are very clean and lovely size bathroom. The staff have to be the most friendliest people I have ever met great knowledge of the City and so very helpful two lovely girls on reception Daniela and Caoimhe lovely mannerly girls and extremely helpful and then we met the lovely Sam and John who were a great laugh and two of the nicest people I’ve met gave us lots of info regarding places to go for our nights out and info about Newcastle itself the staff are a credit to the hotel cleaning staff are very helpful and efficient. I hope you know how lucky you are to have such nice people working for you it really makes guests stay more enjoyable Collapse

Stayed one night here after a concert at the Sage. It is ideally situated, only 5 minutes walk from the Sage and extremely good value. The hotel rooms are spotlessly clean, quiet and adequate for one night. A small hand rail would be a good idea in the wet area of the bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities are in the room. The beds are very comfortable. The only toiletries provided are liquid soap but that's not a problem if you always take your own. The reception staff are very helpful. The only minus thing is that there had been some demolition next to the hotel last year so the approach to the hotel is very messy. We stayed in this hotel last October and the mess was a problem then. The management can't do anything about the demolition but they could make sure the area immediately around the hotel is cleared regularly. Collapse

The gym is small, but has free weights, which is always a plus. The staff are very nice, especially at the bar. Only thing was the bed wasn't the most comfortable I have had, but it isn't bad by any means. Average really. Other than that, all good stuff. The location is convenient to a number of bars, restaurants, and a short was from Newcastle center. Collapse

Room is spacious and comfortable and clean. Food is poor and expensive, little choice and poor porportions for the price. Most of mains such as fish and chips or pie and chips cost around £15.00 and are mediocre at best. Puddings are around £5.50 but are small and average in taste. When asked were the meals ok and we replied no the fish was poor, there was little real apology as if they had heard it all before - why ask if you don't really care what the answer is? Beer about £4.50 a pint of average beer and no real ale on pump. Location is pretty good and most of the staff are very friendly. Free car parking on the deal is good but is £5.00 a day if not in a pot holed puddle pit! Free wifi works well and is a bonus but wouldn't risk the kids gaming - not that that bothered us! All in all without a deal don't bother although a lot of tradesmen seem to use it. Collapse
