You get what you pay for, clean, well equipped with essentials, and goods night sleep. Breakfast was also well priced at £10 p/p. And included a great choice in a buffet style. Would use and recommend this place again to others.

I and my colleagues usually stay at the Belmont when visiting Leicester on business. Unfortunately the Belmont did not have the number of rooms I needed so booked 5 rooms at this hotel instead. I was the 3rd person in our group to check in and was allocated room 409. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was spacious and very clean, the wet room/toilet were spotless and supplied with everything needed, the towels and bed linen were fine. Slightly odd not to have a wardrobe instead a rack with 6 hangers but for one nights stay it was fine. Room also had a decent hairdryer and iron/ironing board. Floor is wooden rather than carpet i assume to keep cleaner but makes walking around a bit noisy. Had a flat screen tv which I didnt use as well as a well stocked tea/coffee tray. Bed was fine. The room was on the 4th floor fine and i hear any noise from friday night out laters. Bar downstairs was fine as was the breakfast area. Only issue was last person to check in was told I’d only booked 4 rooms and they had no more rooms available, I had to go to recpetion, show them the booking on my phone and then email it to them. They found my colleague a room after 10 minutes or so. I was pleasantly surprised at what I got for the price I paid and I’d recommend for a night or two stay Collapse

Bang in the centre of a Leicester which means that most places are walkable from the hotel. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and staff friendly and helpful. I slept up on the sixth floor and got a great nights sleep. Breakfast was self service buffet style and catered foe all tastes. Eggs were nice and runny, which makes a pleasant change for “mass produced” and the bacon was tasty without running in fat. I would certainly stay there again. Collapse

My review is for the Restaurant only, not the hotel. My friends and I were visiting Leicester for a performance at The Curve Theatre and choose the Encore Restaurant as it is with easy walking distance. We had booked for a table of 9 in advance. We were shown to our table and the drinks order was taken very soon after finding our table. So far so good. After 15 to 20 minutes we had to ask for someone to take our food order. Then the wait began. After 55 minutes nothing arrived to eat, and we started to worry as the performance was then in an hours time. Eventually 3 meals arrived. The pies. The wrong vegetables, and no gravy, but we decided to carry on as time was ticking. After finding the Waitress again, 3 more meals arrived. The Sea Bass. Then 10 minutes later the Chilli. The Salmon meals never did arrive! After much discussion a Manager arrived, called Chris. He was very helpful and tried his best to rectify the situation. The 2 ladies who didn’t get their Salmon were made a Ham sandwich. Not exactly what they had hoped for at the outset. Our concerns were listened to at the time, and we didn’t have to pay for the meals. Chris did a great job in trying to sort out a very sorry experience. To add insult to injury the Cheesescake which a few were brave enough to order, arrived frozen solid.! A few other people from our coach had a similar experience and walked out. There are a lot of eating establishments around The Curve and I think we will be trying them out next time! I did write to Ramada Head Office about this experience but I am still waiting for a reply 7 days later. Collapse
