Stayed here from the 7th to 10th may 18. Picked up at airport by the free shuttle bus. On arrival we were met by a friendly reception staff. Dont like the idea off stay wearing denims as part of their uniform. Our room was on the 14th floor, small but clean and good views. The hotel is outside the city but there is a tram the runs from outside the hotel ( 5 minute walk) that will get you to the centre in less than 15 minutes. A Day pass only costs 7 Euro 50 un limited travel. We had breakfast one morning in the hotel. 18euro 50 is very expensive to serve yourself and what was on display was certainly not worth the price paid .37 euro for two breakfasts. For a city that brews Heineken 7.50 euro for a pint in the hotel is far more expensive for drinks within the city. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the Ramada is a good hotel to stay in away from the hustle and bustle of the city at night. Collapse

We stayed here for an exhibition at the RAI. It's quite a long way away from the exhibition centre and from the city centre unless you are good with public transport. However, the rooms were lovely, breakfast is on the 17th floor which is difficult to beat. There is an airport shuttle which helps as the queue for taxis at the airport is very long. It's worth getting to grips with the public transport and this gives you a nice hotel on the edge of a large part and a quiet location. Collapse
Awful customer service from front of house through to management

Had a terrible experience when visiting the hotel bar with my pregnant wife and her family. We sat down for drinks in the bar upstairs without issue and decided to go upstairs to look at the view. On our decent a hotel representative ran up to my wife and barked "Uhm excuse me where are you going?". To which my wife replied "to the bathroom" as we were actually just about to leave. The hotel representative then said that my wife wasn't allowed in the bar because she was wearing full length black leggings. They had no sport designs on them and the rest of her outfit was not sports related at all. When we asked why, this was her response, "I don't make the rules". As you can imagine that this tone and the fact it was happening in front of other guests was a very embarrassing experience. We then questioned why her colleagues could where skin tight black jeans that looked identical to my wife's black leggings. Her reply again was purely "I don't make the rules". Nowhere was this dress code displayed, nor was it mentioned that this was the case by any of the other members of staff that had greeted us on our initial entry to the bar, served us, and even helped give directions to the roof terrace. The tone of the woman in question was very derogatory and accusational. Given her response was of little help or even apologetic I decided to speak to the management downstairs. Their response was somewhat better but when I received the follow up email they purely focused on the fact my wife was pregnant and not on the facts that we had been rudely spoken to and embarrassed or the fact they failed to display any form of notification about such a dress code. Nor did they explain how they planned to rectify the issue. When I politely asked them about those points I received a wall of silence. To add to the terrible experience the hotel room that my parents in law stayed in was run down with dust around legs of items showing it hadn't been properly hoovered. There were broken shelves, and a tear in the fabric of the seat. All in all a very shoddy level of professionalism. I would recommend somewhere else to stay in Amsterdam as there are many better hotels for the same price, views, and facilities. They have much better customer service though. Collapse

A romantic break to Amsterdam was ruined by Kelly at this supposedly top hotel. My partner and I came to this hotel this time last year for a long weekend and it was outstanding, the room was amazing, service was good, food, location, all for a good price. We decided to go again this year and recommended it to our friends who are also another couple Lovely Warm Check-In, beautiful room on high floor with great view, we decided to go for supper at floor17 we saw a girl by the name of Kelly who didn't greet us at all, there were tables empty everywhere but Kelly said they were fully booked. We looked around the room at the multiple empty tables. So, we took our seats at the bar, placed an order, she forgot our drinks but worse was to come with the evening meal in the floor17. We were with friends - service from Kelly was dreadful. Most particularly one of our friends had severe food allergies and was very particular about what she could have. When her food finally arrived, it contained all the things she’d asked not to have: she had to send it back and when it arrived again it was still wrong. There was not a word of apology from Kelly, even worse she called me liar and blames us for ordering wrongly. I couldn't believe how unprofessional my complaint was being dealt with although if seen many reviews about this hotel stating how rude staff are at Floor17 which I now believe 100% to be true how dare a staff member call a paying guest a liar Sadly, we had a bad experience at this hotel, I would still recommend only the Ramada Hotel and not floor17. It's just that we had recommended it to our friends and we had a really bad time there. On a positive note, the reception staff are attentive and pleasant, Collapse

I have long been thinking a review for this hotel ... it's long overdue... From where should I start. We were intimated through e-mail by the hotel staff that we could have early check in. But when we reached the hotel, the staff was so uncooperative especially the front desk staff that they told us to wait for 3 hrs. My kid (8yrs old) was so exhausted after such a long flight but the staff paid no heed and was quite impolite . Even, they were way past the regular check in time and we got the room after more half an hour wait. My husband complained to few f the staff members who tried to appease us by giving free drinks coupons . We had a triple sharing room and the extra bed that was provided was broken from the middle. Haha to top it all, during dinner I found a blonde hair in a rice dish.. pathetic... The location of the hotel was ok and it was well connected... But my overall experience was disgusting... what a shame for Ramada Collapse
