The hotel was superb, it has a courtesy boat that takes you across the river so access to the Old Town, Castle etc couldn't be easier. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever had at a hotel; the whole place was spotless. The pool, gym, sauna & steam room were fantastic, with great views of the city from the pool. The food was also excellent and suited British taste. Overall I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It may not be the most central hotel, but it must be one of the best. Collapse

This is more of a business hotel than a place for tourists. We were there for three nights. During our stay, there were business conventions and a dentists sales event took over the whole of the lobby area. This was quite oppressive and I felt it was a bit rude to other guests. It was like being in a market. The breakfast was quite nice. Plenty to choose from but don't expect an English breakfast. There was a normal domestic toaster which didn't work so toast was off the menu. We ate dinner in the hotel on one evening which again was ok but a bit pricey. Don't ask for a glass of tap water. We asked and were told they don't serve it and we would have to buy a bottle of water. Reception staff aren't very helpful. On the occasions we asked them anything we had the feeling that we were being a nuisance. They were a bit miserable. On the plus side the hotel is very clean and has a nice outlook of the river Vistula. Unfortunately it's a bit away from things and is a good twenty to twenty five minute walk to the old town. Rooms are ok but the bathroom fan was on constantly and we couldn't switch off the air con which was a bit noisy. Strangely the double bed had two single narrow duvets that kept slipping off. An easy to use free safe was in the room. We went on the hotels free boat trip which was very nice. We booked two excursions in advance with the hotel souvenir shop but when we went to pay on arrival we were told that they don't take cards and we would have to pay by cash. I find it hard to believe that nowadays a company only takes cash. Our excursion to Auschvitz was very interesting and moving. Expect large crowds as it's very popular. It takes about one hour and twenty minutes to get there from Krakow. We weren't keen on the trip to Schindlers factory which wasn't really what we were expecting. It was more of a general exhibition of the was in Krakow than anything to do with Schindler. The guide wasn't very friendly and spoke in a monotone as if she was reading from a script. Collapse

We stayed at this hotel in 2017 having had it recommended by friends. This year, returning to Krakow, it was the obvious choice, and we were not disappointed. Although the hotel was much busier on this occasion s they were hosting the world swing dance competition the levels of service were at the usual high standard that we had previously enjoyed. A new innovation this time around was that the hotel placed a cell phone style gadget complete with apps which recommended various attractions, told how to use public transport, had GPS using Google maps for planning trips, free winter access and much more. This came as part of the room package. All you had to do was recharge it in the room overnight and it would be ready for the next days activities. A nice idea for 1st time visitors. If you're interested in the Jewish heritage and the events of WW2 this hotel is ideally placed between the old ghetto area and the modern Jewish Quarter and is only a short walk away from Old Town Krakow. No hesitation in recommending it again. Collapse

Qubus is a modern hotel situated about 25 minutes walk from the main square but only 10 minutes from the nicer Jewish quarter. Staff were friendly and welcoming and we had a room on the 7th floor with wonderful views over the river and of the city. Room was of a good size and as others have said it was well equipped, bed was comfy and it was surprisingly quiet. The leisure complex with pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi was lovely and had views across the city. The breakfast buffet was excellent with an amazing amount of choice which set us up for the day. I would compare the chain to IBIS or Premier Inn so a good standard. A couple of niggles. The bath towels are very small and the hand towel was really no bigger than a face cloth. Paper cups for tea/coffee its more eco friendly to use china ones than those you throw away and of course much nicer. Lady guests should note that the only toiletries provided is soap/shampoo in a dispenser, so you need to bring your own. Would definitely recommend this hotel as it was also reasonably priced. What a lovely hotel and lovely staff. Rooms are so clean, providing a kettle, coffee and tea, also an iron and ironing bored, and a nice touch providing an umbrella by the door incase of a rainy day! Spotless room, fresh towels everyday and bottles of water provided for no cost. The hotel itself is immaculate. When we arrived we got into our room, we were disappointed that the pillows were small, but we rang reception and in the space of 5 minutes a maid gave us two extra pillows, (bare in mind this was at 2am in the morning) such amazing service. Eric the manager is so friendly and lovely and also the staff, doing Qubus proud. Slightly disappointed about breakfast, because of its high season in april, the price for two people was €34, which we found was abit steep, but its cheap enough to eat out! Thankyou for an amazing stay and we will be back soon! Collapse

Booked for a short break to visit Krakow and the surrounding areas with friends. Good clean and comfortable rooms and friendly and helpful staff. Good views from the rooms and use of the rooftop swimming pool is a bonus. Within easy walking distance of the centre of Krakow and there is plenty of information at hand both at reception and in the rooms, particularly free use of a hand held tablet with maps and advice. It is a business hotel and also caters for large groups so meal times can be a bit busy, especially breakfast. We eat in the restaurant in the evening as we had spent most of the day out and the food was always hot, varied and tasty with plenty of local dishes except for our last night. This we discovered was down to a change in the team and a different chef. We all commented that we may have taken a different view of the food had we received this on our first night. There was also a noticeable change in the buffet provided for the large groups with questions being asked about the shortage of some dishes. Apart from that I would definitely use the Qubus hotel again in the future due to it's location and service provided. Collapse
