Just got back today and was inspired to write a review. The hotel is fantastic ,it’s big but you are made to feel welcome. When we arrived about 11;45 am was told our room would not be ready until 15;00 hrs .We did not mind so much about the wait but our suitcases were whisked away on arrival so had to wear our clothes that we had been traveling in would have been nice to have been given the option to have got changed ,even if we had to use the toilets we wouldn’t have minded. The rooms were fantastic and a credit to the cleaning staff for keeping them so nice and the nice touches like having the curtains drawn ,pillows turned down and the little chocolate sweet left on the bedside table was a nice touch. Breakfast at the Princesa Yaiza was really varied with loads of choice of Hot and Cold foods (so much choice to list) .we travelled as a couple with no children but ithe kids that were there must have had an amazing time because there was so much for them to do.we even joked amongst ourselves when we came back from a restaurant that the kids were up later than us .(they were watching a show in the theatre) but to be honest on the main areas of the hotel in the evening you don’t see children in the Bar area or main restaurant .it is so well worked out that everybody gets along. During the day most of the young families stayed up at the top swimming pool .Dont know if the hotel vets the families before they arrive but I must say all the children were so well behaved and seemed to be enjoying themselves it makes your holiday to see happy people .Credit to the Mums and Dads . The resort itself was for me a little bit quiet and we must have walked from Harbour to Marina a good few times a day.Albeit there is a great choice of restaurants and the food we had we could not fault it.This is my own preference and should not put you off from staying at Playe Blanca.we went to the Market on Wednesday and hired a car another day and thought we would check out puerto del carmen. Its totally different as I wou;d say playa Blanca is like a honeymoon place if you just want to be with each other and like nice relaxing walks and a gentle atmosphere which we liked but still would have liked a bit more to see and do. We have just returned from a lovey week at this beautiful hotel. I decided to choose this one after reading the reviews and I have to say every review was retrieved to its words. The hotel was big, bright and clean. The staff where very friendly, always acknowledging you as you walk past. Our room was extremely spacious and attended well by all the cleaning staff. The only issue we had was that the card machine in the hotel decided to eat up our card. This was abit upsetting and stressful as all our holiday money was on this particular card. The management apologised but there was actually nothing else they could do as it was not part of there hotel. However we managed to sort things out by ourselves by getting in touch with credit card company. The food in the hotel was fabulous, and served to a high standard, great attention to detail throughout. We would definitely recommend this wonderful hotel. Collapse

We have visited the Princess Yaiza on several occasions and each time it has been a success. We stayed from 8th to the 15th April with our family of 12, with children ranging from 3 to 11 year olds. The hotel caters for all age groups including evening entertainment. The situation is ideal for the sandy beach and a choice of restaurants both within and outside the hotel. The staff are helpful and friendly and we would visit again with family. Collapse

We booked the Yaiza as a first family holiday with our baby which turned out to be an excellent choice. It certainly gets top marks for its location! Set on the beach/long promenade between the town and Marina with so many nice restaurants to choose from and lovely walks with the pushchair. I would suggest that you only stay here on a B&B basis as there really is a lot of great places to eat and it'd be a shame to miss out. The rooms are large with separate lounge area and a balcony with two sunbeds (ideally you want a room that is sun facing to be able to use these). The pools were lovely and well kept but on the cool side. Unfortunately, along with most other hotels these days there is an issue with people reserving sunbeds and then disappearing for ages - a pet hate of mine and I really wish the hotel would at least try to enforce the rule they have set themselves. Having had many years of adult only holidays in luxury hotels it's nice to know that even with a baby we can still go to hotels such as this one and I would certainly recommend it, we had a great time. However...if I didn't have a child I have to admit that I'd be going to a different hotel as the little ones are in abundance!! Collapse

Just returned from a second stay at this hotel - and like the first trip - we were not disappointed. This is an excellent hotel where the staff do all the can to provide you with what you need. The food in the varied restaurants is uniformly excellent with a huge variety of freshly cooked dishes. Our favourite was always the Italian - where the pizza chef (from Naples) makes the most wonderful pizzas. There is a good selection of local wines. The only criticism I would have of the wine service is that if you buy wine by the glass - the amount of wine they pour is rather small and mean for the 7 euro price. Better to buy a bottle - which is probably what they want you to do anyway! The location of the hotel between the marina and the harbour gives easy access to all the restaurants/ferries, walking etc. Couldn't be better situated. The hotel is kept spotless by a small army of cleaners - the rooms are spacious with excellent views (if you have a front one) out over the swimming pools and the sea with the island of Fuerventura in the distance.
