We visit Vegas 2-3 times a years and normally stay at Total Reward properties. Our room was comped - Ultra Hip King and as usual the room was clean, nicely appointed and super comfortable beds. Added bonus- it had a great view of the pool and strip. However, word of warning, the music at the pool is really loud and can be heard in the room on the 14th floor all day and doesn't stop until around 6pm. So if you want some mid afternoon quiet time, not happening. The downside has been well addressed on this site - The Pool. We knew from past experience that there maybe 20 lounge chairs around the pool and if you are not out there the moment they open the pool then you are out of luck. So we decided when we booked the hotel to get a cabana. Once we got to the pool we found out the cabana rental only came with a little couch and no lounge chairs to lay on in the sun. The cabana is supposed to have space / seating enough for 8 people but there was only the two of us and a little love seat couch. Any more people in there would have been cramped. The whole purpose of renting the cabana was to guarantee loungers and a place to keep cool when it got too hot. So we had to spend an additional $48 for 2 loungers in front of the cabana. It was fine for the first hour but then the cooling misters stopped working around noon and were not fixed the rest of the day so the"luxury" of renting a cabana was not so grand after that in 100+ degree heat. What REALLY ticked me off was the staffs indifference to the group of woman who occupied the cabana next to us that they DID NOT rent. A couple of woman in their 20s walked up and just tossed the reserved signs on the ground and took up residency in the cabana and loungers for a few hours. Security walked by several times and actually flirted with them but never told them to move out. Our waitress did tell them that the cabanas were reserved for people that PAID for them but the girls ignored them and nothing was done. Finally after I complained that if they were allowed to take a up cabana for free then the rest of us who paid for one should get refund did they actually called in hotel security to remove them. Sadly about 30 minutes after they were removed another group of woman felt entitled to take up where they left off and again, pool staff ignored it for at least an hour and let them occupy the cabana and chairs at no charge. Its simply the principal that other people are paying a pretty hefty premium to rent them so the rules should apply to all pool guest. Last is the Spice Market buffet. Apparently there was a flood a few weeks ago in the hotel that forced them to close part of the buffet so they cut the price in half until all the stations were opened up. We went down there for lunch and it was sad. The options were extremely limited due to part of it being closed but then what they did have listed on the menu was not even available or it was cold and stale or lacked any flavor. The Mexican station had what appeared to be boiled chicken / onions / green peppers that was supposed to pass for Chicken Fajitas. There was no other options in that bar aside from what tasted like day old potato skins. The salad bar only had lettuce, cucumbers, onion and cheese and 2 dressings. The other sections were no better. We barely found enough odds and end to make up a small meal and left without even finishing a plate. I'm not a stuck up "foodie" that expects 5 star food in a buffet. Seriously, a couple of White Castle burgers would have tasted better than what they were offering! Really I was just hoping for a decent salad bar with a good variety. My suggestion is they close the whole buffet down until they can open the whole thing up again and with a better selection and quality of food. Collapse

We are Caesar's Palace regulars but thought we'd try something different this trip. We opted for a larger room at PH, and overall the room and bathroom are nice. However, the soundproofing between rooms is nonexistent, and on a hot day in the summer, there's no AC in the hotel elevators. The casino floor is a disappointment and looks older and dirtier. Maybe we've been spoiled by Caesars, but I will not stay again. Collapse
