We stayed 3 nights in this hotel and had no difficulty taking the bus and the metro to the hotel. Hotel location near the Kremlin and the river. Breakfast was good as there was ample salmon etc. There is just one incident during breakfast that all sits during breakfast were reserved and we were supposed to catch the Sapsan train to St. Petersburg. Despite objections from the waiters, we insisted that we are also guests and and we have a train to catch and had our breakfast. The reception staff needs to be trained to smile as they were very dry. Collapse

We booked a room in this hotel three days in advance via the phone and received the email confirmation. Upon our arrival the staff refused to check us in at the agreed time. Although the rooms were available, they rudely and dismissively turned us with our four years old child away after 16 hours of travel. The guy called Peter Medvedev who introduced himself as a head of Hospitality service referred to the ? registration law but declined to provide the number of the law and verbal and written explanation. We are British, were granted a valid russian tourist visa and did not have any problems with Russian border agencies. We drove around for a half an hour and found an alternative in another hotel who accepted us, upgraded to a suite and confirmed no issues with the registration. Avoid, avoid this hotel and freezing Russian hospitality from the park inn sadu hospitality service. Collapse

This is a three star hotel. Although I had paid for four star accommodation through my tour company, people on other tours confirmed this is a three star hotel so this is the basis for my rating. The positives: The hotel is in a great location - walk over two bridges and you are at the Alexander garden outside the Kermlin. In-room safe Windows that open Bottles of water as you are advised you cannot drink the tap water (but note you need to ask for replacement water as it is not replaced by the maid service) Comfortable bed Hotel arranged the taxi to the airport for me for a fixed price - taxi arrived early and got me there in lots of time for the long, long immigration lines at DME Felt safe in the area where the hotel is located Near the metro The negatives: Soap and shampoo is all in one and there is no conditioner. I guess this can be expected from a three star hotel but some three star hotels still provide these separately. Hairdryer is the old type attached to the wall and was very, very slow to dry hair My bottles of water were not replaced the first or second day during my stay so finally had to ask at the front desk for new water bottles No ability to make tea/coffee in the room Not enough seating for the breakfast - Seating was tight the second morning of my stay. The third morning people had to wait for somewhere to seat and they ran out of bread, despite asking for replacement bread and being told a few minutes, and again a few minutes until after 30 minutes I realized there would be no more bread. They ran our of the fresh vegetables. Cappuciino and lattes were extra - first hotel on the trip round the Baltic and Russia where this occurred Every time someone flushed a toilet in the rooms above me (well I am assuming this was the cause) it would cause my toilet to run, such that I kept the bathroom door closed at night so the water running in the toilet would not wake me View was over the trash bins - and people start using them at 6am so that ensured I was woken up, No need for an alarm. :-) Overall, would probably not stay at this hotel again as think there are better value hotels in Moscow. After a wonderful trip around Scandinavia and St Petersburg have arrived after a long journey to find that the room has no heating or not working? It is 11 degrees which is quite cold when you come from a warmer climate, the thermostat say 30 degrees but we have no heat. I was told I could have an extra blanket which not terribly helpful when you get out of the shower. There is also a really loud rock band playing and there is hardly any doulble glazing to keep out the noise or the cold. Other than that the hotel is quite nice. Collapse

I'm having a bit of a difficulty, as the photo shown is not the Park Inn Sadu Bolshaya Polyanka 17, in which I stayed. The hotel is relatively small, but the rooms are spacious and very clean. Rooms are very quiet Great WiFi and television The front desk staff is welcoming, informative, helpful. Service is outstanding. The location is the best there could be - both Red Square and the Kremlin are within 1 km of the hotel - great walks through the city - close to the river - banks and grocery stores very close by. It doesn't get any better than this. The breakfast buffet is better than most American hotels, but does not compare to the Radisson Blu. I arranged for car service to the airport and was very pleasantly surprised (as this is part of the Radisson chain and the Radisson Royale is one of the top hotels in Moscow) - when a brand new giant black BMW arrived, the driver dressed in black suit and white shirt - and he silently drove me to the airport. I imagined that anyone seeing the car would think someone high-up was in the car (ha!) Collapse
