The Park Central Hotel was built during The Roaring Twenties, once accommodated and entertained some of the most influential figures of the day, from Jackie Gleason and Mae West to Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, even First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Today’s guests are invited to escape the busy city life in exchange for the serenity that awaits them at the Park Central Hotel newly renovated and inspired by the iconic Central Park and renowned New York City landmarks.
Thanks to an immense multi-million-dollar renovation, the Park Central New York will welcome guests to its gracious new accommodations and public spaces inspired by Central Park and other iconic New York locations. The design echoes the elegance of a bygone era, but with a fresh, contemporary attitude the re-imagined 2-story lobby, stunning balcony lounge, entirely new Signature Restaurant concept and inventive “grab-and-go” shop are just a sample of the cutting-edge spaces created by award-winning architecture and design firm, Jeffrey Beers International.
The redesign will also unveil Park Central New York’s 761 guest rooms and suites glamorously re-imagined. Handsomely outfitted with dark stained millwork details, tufted fabric headboards, and sharp, geometrically-patterned carpets, each guest room will also feature red-walled bathrooms adorned with white porcelain tiles arranged in a piano-like pattern, a playful homage to nearby Carnegie Hall. Amenities throughout have been meticulously updated to reflect a warm respect for the past, with a bold step toward the future. The thoughtfully conceived design showcases a modern and elegant interior inspired by the hotel’s urban environment.
Today, the Park Central Hotel welcomes business and leisure travellers alike with spacious rooms and suites, hallmark service, plus proximity to all the New York shopping, sight-seeing, dining and world-class entertainment you could ever want. Carnegie Hall? Across the street. Theatre District? Rockefeller Centre? A few short blocks away.

We moved to a corner room (double queen) for a last minute deal. Our room was huge for NYC standards and would easily accommodate a family of 4. We were supposed to have a "view" of central park which basically meant that if you leaned out the window you might see a bit of green. We didn't care though because the beds were nice, bathroom roomy and lots of windows with black out curtains. The lounge was a great place to sit before and after going out. The negatives were: no fridge or microwave in room (although there is plenty of room if they wanted to add them), and no restaurant, no room service. There is a small "to-go" cafe in lobby which has limited items like cereal, sandwiches and salads. Also, our room was facing 7th Street and there was quite a bit of street noise all night (it didn't bother us, it's NYC and we expected some of that). Collapse
Location, maintenance and amenities make up the unexisent guest service.

Perfectly located in the heart of New York City- 10 minutes away from Times Square, the 5th Avenue and Central Park- the Park Central offers, besides its most valuable asset, small but comfortable rooms (which when travelling to NYC is ideal, since a hotel room should only be necessary to sleep), neatly decorated with pictures and artworks (sadly, without a minibar :/), a café that offers basic foods and beverages in the lobby, a bar and a fitness center. But the overall experience in the hotel gets sunken down by the lack of service. When we arrived to the entrance (with 3 large bags!), the bellboy, who is supposed to help unload the luggage from the car and take it to the lobby, did not do anything besides opening the door, or offering a carriage for taking said luggage upstairs to our room. The girl in the reception wasn't anything out of the ordinary when referring to her hospitality and welcome, and when our A/C stopped working, we had to call 3 times so that someone would come fix it. They staff definitely did not make sure that we feel as guests, instead of people who just sleep in a room inside a building. If necessary, we would be fine with coming back to the hotel, but it certainly wouldn't be the first choice. There are other hotels in the zone which seem worth trying out. Collapse
Great location but not without its faults...

Hotel is lovely, great position for seeing almost everything in NY without needing to use the subway, and our room was large, clean, modern, and very comfortable. However... the NOISE! The rooms seriously need white noise generators which I've seen in other NY hotels to drown out the outside noise. The hotel is in a very busy area, right next to central park and the Carnegie hall, 5-10 minute walk from Times square. 7th Avenue is a gridlock of traffic 24/7, so outside, day and night is honking horns, shouting and general city noise which is frequently loud enough to disturb sleep. The walls are super thin too so you can have a chat to your next door neighbour should you wish to. This is especially delightful when someone arrives from a different time zone at 3am and has a little welcome party in their room with their friends. (yes, this IS British sarcasm) For such a lovely hotel I was surprised by the lack of mini bar, fridge and coffee maker in the room, also by the lack of white noise option and very limited lifts for such a large hotel. A small single cup coffee machine was supplied on request though. The bed was seriously THE most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, and as someone who suffers with back pain and almost never finds a comfortable bed this is really saying something. I booked a twin room for my son and I, and we were given a good sized double queen room which looked out over the side street. Overall - It has its faults, but for location versus price I think this hotel is unbeatable. No serious complaints other than the noise and the long wait for lifts, which is tiresome, but I would stay there again. Collapse

The hotel was located at a very good place, it was just between Times Square, abd on the other end of the road was Central park. We had a nice room: the classic room with two double beds. It was very clean, we had a nice view on the street and carnegie hall. The room was also very large! Because the hotel is situated very good, we have not had dinner or breakfast at the hotel, but we always found a place to eat in the neighbourhood. For instance there is a nice diner across the road, Park Cafe. When you enter the hotel, you feel the new york kind of vibe just like everywhere in new york: very busy and non stop. It is not a very relaxing atmosphere, but that is normal in New York i guess, especially in big hotels such as these. The staff did their job, but not much more. They werent very devoted to their job i believe. Collapse
