The Park Central Hotel was built during The Roaring Twenties, once accommodated and entertained some of the most influential figures of the day, from Jackie Gleason and Mae West to Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, even First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Today’s guests are invited to escape the busy city life in exchange for the serenity that awaits them at the Park Central Hotel newly renovated and inspired by the iconic Central Park and renowned New York City landmarks.
Thanks to an immense multi-million-dollar renovation, the Park Central New York will welcome guests to its gracious new accommodations and public spaces inspired by Central Park and other iconic New York locations. The design echoes the elegance of a bygone era, but with a fresh, contemporary attitude the re-imagined 2-story lobby, stunning balcony lounge, entirely new Signature Restaurant concept and inventive “grab-and-go” shop are just a sample of the cutting-edge spaces created by award-winning architecture and design firm, Jeffrey Beers International.
The redesign will also unveil Park Central New York’s 761 guest rooms and suites glamorously re-imagined. Handsomely outfitted with dark stained millwork details, tufted fabric headboards, and sharp, geometrically-patterned carpets, each guest room will also feature red-walled bathrooms adorned with white porcelain tiles arranged in a piano-like pattern, a playful homage to nearby Carnegie Hall. Amenities throughout have been meticulously updated to reflect a warm respect for the past, with a bold step toward the future. The thoughtfully conceived design showcases a modern and elegant interior inspired by the hotel’s urban environment.
Today, the Park Central Hotel welcomes business and leisure travellers alike with spacious rooms and suites, hallmark service, plus proximity to all the New York shopping, sight-seeing, dining and world-class entertainment you could ever want. Carnegie Hall? Across the street. Theatre District? Rockefeller Centre? A few short blocks away.

We stayed for two nights at the Park Central Hotel, New York. Positives: Great bell service, great front desk assistance, great location, excellent bed (king room), good shower/tub, large bedroom space with plenty of storage. Negatives: $35/day "resort fee", which was not disclosed until after booking occurred; no restaurant on site, TV reception spotty, very small bathroom area, $65-75/night parking fee. Look for better deals that include reduced parking, no resort fee, free breakfast. Collapse

Fab hotel, brilliant location on 7th Ave, 10 mins walk to Times Sq and 10 mins north to Central Park, perfect! Hotel is lovely, clean and comfortable for a city break, air con in room good, room and bathroom nice, clean, perfectly serviceable for a city break, T.V not that we watched any! but if you were here on business you might do. Bath and shower good, plenty of hot water, serviced daily, we never saw our housekeeper but she was thorough! Bed really comfy with nice bedding. Closet a bit small but adequate for 5 nights, a bit dark could do with a light inside maybe. We were in room 1158 and pleased with our choice of hotel. Nice little coffee shop going on for breakfast, but there is no restaurant but the bar is lovely. We had drinks here every night when we got back from dinner / sight seeing, the staff are great ! John and Alex are so professional, real slick barmen, polite and very sociable, when ever they had a moment to spare they came over to talk to us and made us feel at home. Unlike the reception staff who need a personality transplant, sorry ! With the exception of Suzie, concierge who was most helpful and sociable. We would deffinately recommend this hotel and would stay here next time we visit the Big Apple, and there will be another visit! we didn't use the coffee shop here, preferring a hot egg and bacon over the road at the Park Cafe, no relation to the hotel, but very good also. Hi, I had the pleasure of stopping at the hotel for 5 nights in April. As my title says the location is perfect, just the right distance to Times Square, fifth Avenue etc. 2 blocks away is Central Park perfect for a stroll in the morning and for waiting for the ladies to get ready. The subway station right next to the hotel let’s you get anywhere fast. After staying in NY several times before I will definitely be heading back to park central. Staff where helpful and room was clean and a good size. Only slight down side the lifts are a little slow but if that’s all there is to moan about then it’s a winner Collapse

Let’s start with the Staff.Arrived and had requested a room with two beds but told at reception in a very sharp and unfriendly manner that there was no chance to busy. Two tiny lifts which always have a queue at them and must be the lowest ever. You can’t control the heating in the room so it’s constantly warm nearly unbearable.Room was ok clean but nothing special.Location is ok little bit far from Times Square for my liking but that’s just my opinion.I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone there’s a lot better ones for the same money. The heating in the room was real problem extremely hot bare this in mind. Both of us ended up feeling slightly unwell. Collapse
