We have just got back from a week of staying here. We were self catered and stayed near the back of the hotel (148G). The hotel room was basic but that is what we expected- it had everything we needed. It had the option to be cleaned everyday by hanging a sign on the door handle - we were very happy with this service as the bedding was changed, new towels provided, floors swept and mopped and our clothes were even folded on our beds for us! We couldn't fault the cleanliness. The TV also picked up a few English channels very well! We didn't have any issues which needed us to get help from the staff - but had we needed anything they were very approachable and friendly. The only issue I would say was the small chain on the patio doors leading to the balcony. It only had a chain to secure it.. we took the precaution of also locking our suitcase locks on it to so nobody could get in (just as a precaution). We were at the back of the hotel near a public walkway and we were only woken up one night from passers by, and this was only once in the night. The location was amazing - close to Monkey Beach and Siam park. Also there were resturaunts, supermarkets and trip excursions on the doorstep so it was very convenient. We would definitely go there again! Collapse

My daughter was injered on the 2nd day when she was leaning in to brush her teeth and the marble around the sink broke and fell down on top of her. It cut her leg and when she fell she hurt her back. The life guard came and looked after her leg. He told me to go to reseption to get someone else. I did and he came to the room took a picture of the bathroom and sink left and no one came back to us. I had to clean up the broken marble . I went to the reception the next day to ask them if they was going to Change our room because the sink was default and a big metal bar was sticking out of it. The guy on reception new nothing about it and couldn't believe the photo's I had taken and showed him. He put us in a very old room witch was full of ants. I spoke with the manager and was told that my daughter must have been sitting on it. I told him my daughter was 16 no a baby who would be messing around in the bathroom he said to me acadent s happen. I told him I understood this but the service I and my daughter had received was totally unacceptable. No one came back to us when it happened no one cared about my daughter been injured. He offered me a refund on the safe €10 I told him not to insult me as my child had been injured through no fault of her own. He then said ok you can have breakfast. He didn't care one bit he just wanted me to go away. I told him this service was not acceptable. He asked me when I was leaving I told him Sunday he said he would be in touch with me before I left but I never seen or heard from him again this is disgusting and unacceptable service and I will be taken it further. HI we have just got home from staying in this very basic complex. We were situated at the back room number 136 so between the hours of 2am up until sometimes 6am the locals find it funny to scream, shout, whistle to make as much noise as possible I'm sure this was done purposely. The room very basic came in one evening to find a cockroche on the floor, no air con the room was stifling, and the patio door to the balcony was only lockable by a very flimsy chain easily opened. We chose this holiday as some reviews praised this complex so gave it a try but never again the only good thing about it was its location to all amenities. Collapse

Paid for half board which gets you breakfast in the morning and an evening meal. They have machines that serve hot and cold beverages, i.e; smoothies, tea & coffee etc, however, the staff switch the machines off after breakfast so you need to pay them (on top of the price paid for half board) for something to drink with your food. They do not have a chef in the kitchen, they have a lady who heats up frozen food before leaving it on a hot plate to keep it warm until it is finished, then they'll heat more up and continue doing this until they shut for the night. The quality of food is really bad and the practice of frying it from frozen then leaving it on a hot plate does nothing to improve it. With the 'food' this dry you really need something to drink to wash it down, this is where the machine providing hot and cold beverages could give some relief but as said, they switch it off and charge you more for soft drinks or whatever you order to drink with your meal. The rooms were very poorly kept. A 'cleaner' comes round the rooms 4 times a week and brushes them out before running a mop over the floor. They also change the beds and the towels twice a week. However, the maintenance seems to end there. It is as though the rooms have never been dusted and they also seem to be fighting a losing battle with cockroaches and other insects. The decor is old. There was a television in the room but the connection to the cable is poor and the sound continuously comes and goes on BBC1, so if you are from the UK and want to watch an English speaking channel when winding down at night you may have to do without sound. There is no air conditioning which leaves you sweltering in a place like Tenerife, especially in summer months. You are forced to leave the door/windows open which lets in bugs. The rooms have no fans either. You can ask someone at reception for a fan, there they will rent you a second hand one, they asked us for a 10 Euro deposit and another 20 Euros to rent the fan. The reception staff warn you when you arrive that your cash and personal items may not be safe in your hotel room, they then tell you that you can use the safe in the room but charge you a further 15 Euros per week to use it. They have Wi-Fi in the hotel but you have to pay to use it. The staff at the hotel don't seem to do anything for you without there being a price attached to it. Visitors to this hotel are left with the feeling that hotel staff are only interested in getting as much money as possible out of them. If none of the above conditions bother you then you should be okay. It is situated in a good part of Las Americas, other than that, I have been to Spain 7 times, this is one of the 2 worst hotels / apartment complexes I've visited. Collapse
