Food on ferry was far better than expected - good value for money. Hotel Ibis - Bruges Centrum - Very clean, neat, excellent and very friendly staff. Beware - the price for breakfast not well publicised - Euro 15 p/p but food was good. Bruges is beautiful - a very 'must see' place. We not only visited the main centre but also walked out a short way and found some amazing small shops and cafes/restaurants/bars that were quiet and very pleasant. All in all 10 out of 10 all round. Two nights on board P&O and two nights in Bruges Ibis Centrum. An excellent trip with plenty of time to explore historical Bruges or, ourselves venture further into Belgium. Everything was well organised by P&O. The ferry crossings were brilliant and transfers to and from Bruges were on time. Although the ferry was looking a little dated it was clean and pleasant. The Ibis Centrum in Bruges was excellent - our room had everything in we required and staff were very helpful in anything extra we needed! There are lots of interesting things to do in Bruges, even a walk through the streets is exciting as you never know what you will find! Some of the most notable attractions I can recommend are: The Chocolate Museum, Beer Museum, a boat ride on the canals and an afternoon sampling beers in the 2BE/The Beerwall. As this was not our first trip to Bruges we took a train ride for 28,50€ per person to Brussels for the day! An excellent way to see the Belgium countryside as well as the sites Brussels has to offer. The only negative point about the trip was the extra add ons not included in the price. Firstly the price of parking at the ferry terminal was a bit steep (£7 per day) but there was no offer alternative. Meals were not included in our booking either so we had the option of adding them on. Sometimes we just had to pay because there was no alternative but in most cases you could find an alternative, especially if you are on a budget. Collapse

If you use it to set your alarm clock it means you have to get out of bed in the morning. The breakfast isn't great but as the price of the room was reasonable I didn't expect the most brilliant breakfast but was annoyed that the only few slices of brown bread were really stale. The staff is friendly and the hotel is well situated with an affordable car park. Collapse

Ibis Brugge Centrum is a great budget hotel. We didn't spend much time in the room. But it's bigger and more comfortable than other budget hotel rooms I've been in. The bar/cafe has great cold beers. And the staff is very friendly and helpful. (I had a problem with the nearby public parking, and the receptionist went with me to the parking machine to help me out.) It is located a few hundred meters from the center of town, and very near three beautiful cathedrals. Definitely a great hotel for visitors to Brugge. Collapse

We drove to Bruges so this hotel was a perfect find, with a public underground car park beneath. The steps & lift from the car park came up inside the Ibis/Novotel complex. Car park was only 8.70 euros for 24 hours. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The hotel was clean & tidy, but don't expect luxury. The room was slightly small, but it dd have air conditioning which we were glad of. Breakfast was self service and lacking cooked options, but there was eggs and waffles. Breakfast outside in centre of the city was twice the price and not much better, so I found it fair. From the hotel, it was about a 10 min walk to the city centre and a 3 minute walk to the sites, boat trips etc. Collapse
