Coming from our last hotel this place was a massive upgrade. Staff speak english and are very helpful with any questions! Housekeeping did a great job every day, also very friendly. Breakfast was very basic but we managed with the chocolate croissants and coffee machine on offer. Perfect location - close to the metro station. Would definitely come back! Collapse

We stayed at this Hotel for 3 nights. It’s a little bit tired in places and the bedrooms could do with an upgrade, BUT everything was very well kept and very clean. A special mention to the housekeeping staff who were very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy and made everyday, towels replenished. The road was noisy all night, but having travelled to Paris quite a few times I would say this is quite normal. The hotel is in a good location. Some lovely food shops, and cafes, we also walked to Galleries Lafayette from the hotel which took about 20 minutes. We found the UBer App really helpful and got reasonably priced taxis really easily at any time of day. The restaurant opposite the hotel was reasonable, onion soup delicious, it’s open for breakfast too which is a good thing, as the hotels breakfast really lets it down. A few boiled eggs, ham and bread, not good. I have nothing against a continental breakfast, but it needs to be done well. Good coffee and good croissants would have been adequate. All in all a good hotel in a fair location, just don’t have breakfast. Collapse
Enjoyed my stay here on my first trip to Paris.

Called late at night on a very, very wet evening from nearby Gard du Nord - 10 mins away even for 70 year old folk. Chose here due to its very central location. Was well assisted by staff on arrival. Dealt with by four staff at the desk during our stay at the hotel. Noted that the lift was for either two persons and luggage or four persons - fine - what else is needed. Room was adequate for our needs - clean bed with good bath and shower that had a half door and a mat for the floor - no real need for anything else. There were sufficient power points for my needs during our stay. Stayed here for four nights and at no time did I see any laundry on the floor and the passageway was never blocked. Room well cleaned by staff. Good variety for our continental breakfast that consisted of fresh bread (lovely), cold meats, cheeses, eggs, croissants, pastries, cereals, fruit and yogurts. Hot drinks and fresh fruit juices were also on offer. Got what was on the tin - well pleased. Have had a lot worse within Europe. Liked sitting at the window during breakfast watching the world going by. No problems getting into the hotel either in the mornings or during the day during our stay. Very central for our daily walks to town of 30 mins to the main shopping areas - even at our age. No need to use the underground if you want to window shop on the way! Would definitely stay here again should the need arise. Remember, remember that this is a 3 star hotel at 3 star prices. I might add that I had no need to order a taxi - we walked to the hop on hop off bus location as they didn't start until 10.30 am ish, as the bus staff stated, so giving us plenty of time for a leisurely breakfast and a window shop. If you know Paris and speak the language and are on a business trip, you might enjoy it. Located in a reasonable location, about an half hour to three-quarters of an hourwalk from the Louve less if you young fit and healthy. It's an older building that has been modernised. Good room size. Cleaning staff, exceptional, I even saw a tooth brush used for scrubbing on the cleaning trolley. Never saw a smile and it was often crowded outside rooms with bags of dirty linen there most of the day. Breakfast. Adequate nothing to write home about. Access. You have to buzz to get in day and night Concierge: sorry I dealt with two day shift and night shift, our greeting when we finally got there after a twelve hour delay was not exactly welcoming. He looked at us no greeting or questions but a "gruff you can't check in until two" and turned away until I told him I could as my room was booked for the day before and I had confirmation that it was being held. I asked for a taxi to be ordered on anouther day, he tried once didn't tell me he couldn't get one, we waited fifteen minutes then I asked him to check where our cab was, then he said oh I couldn't get through, he tried once, he then tried again, again we waited fifteen minutes before asking him again where the taxi was only to be told no he couldn't get anyone. He then told us in no uncertain terms we should walk, I pointed out that we would miss our tour having wasted half an hour waiting for nothing, he directed us to the underground....we missed our tour, the travel insurance won't cover it, as a result we then missed our hop on bus tour so we missed two of them. He told us that the government time we wanted the taxi it was peak hour and you can't get them at that time of day. So when we got back that evening I asked them to book a cab for the same time the next morning, I was told no need to pre book just book it half an hour before hand.....must only be every otherday you can't get a cab.....regardless I insisted he book the cab but I had to insist. There were other issues with them but I won't bore you with them. For me the hotel did not have friendly staff, and lacked the quaint charm I was expecting from other places I have stayed in Paris, I did love the balcony. The shower had no door or curtain so water went everywhere. Only one single power point was available as the other one was covered by a heavy desk. There was a bar fridge. Sorry I won't go back and this is the first time I have ever rated an accommodation this low. Collapse
