Loved it at this hotel. Food was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Fountain at front of hotel is noisy if you have a room on a lower floor above reception. The area is not a party type of resort. Suited us very well.

They say the first impressions count,if that's so our first impression of the hotel was excellent. On arrival late on Friday night we were met by a gentleman on reception who could not have been more helpful. He offered to get some food and drink for us even though the bar and kitchen were closed. We were served sandwiches and drinks and when we offer to pay we were advised that they were free. Our room was spotlessly clean and well supplied with extra pillows and blankets. There were toiletries in the bathroom and an ample supply of towels, which were changed daily. We stayed on a half board basis and we had breakfast and dinner in the hotel each day. The food was excellent . Fresh fruits, cereals, yogurts, teas, coffees and cooked breakfast were available every day . The evening meals consisted an array of fresh salads, meats ,fish vegetables, cheeses and desserts. Wine, beers and mineral water were available to buy at reasonable prices. We found the staff were without exception charming, helpful and engaging. They smiled and dealt very professionally with some very demanding customers. The facilities, the pool and spa are well up to the standard you would expect from a four star hotel. Overall we felt that the hotel is great value for money and would recommend it highly. Two constructive criticisms: For guests arriving late , when the restaurant and bars are closed, perhaps a hamper of food could be offered in lieu of the meal they may have missed. Provide comfortable chairs on the balconies for guests who like to sit and enjoy the view. Aidan Burke Dublin Collapse

Went to Porto Colom in September 2017, been to this hotel on 3 other occasions, always had a great stay, Staff very Friendly especially John the head Bar Manager along with his relatively new but well trained staff. Not sure if we would stay again, under new owners and management, seem to be cost cutting with entertainment and staff. Great to see the long serving staff in the restaurant but what has happened to the food quality? Plenty of fish dishes if you like fish with bones, Plenty of Pasta dishes if you like to fill up on Carbs, what you wont find much of is Meat dishes, usually only one choice per night and that was cooked virtually unreconisible. We booked this hotel for a last minute trip, so we didn't thought it was going to be as amazing as it was!! Because we booked via TUI there was a bus transfer included. From Mallorca airport to the hotel it is a bit more than 1 hour drive, but with the transfer we drove for over 2 hours. Apart from that: What an amazing hotel! The hotel is located in the little town of Portocolom. You have the most beautiful view from the hotel on the bay. You can easily walk from the hotel to Portocolom for drinks or to have lunch. Portocolom is a more vibrant town than we thought so at night there is definitly enough to do! It is adults only, so no screaming kids around, peace and quiet, that is alle there is. It is a big hotel but nog to big. The hotel in general, rooms, pool and dining area are very clean. The rooms are big and bright. It is not the most modern hotel but that is really no big deal if everything is clean. The pool was just across the street. There are not a lot of chairs. It is possible that if you drop by the pool in the afternoon that there are no chairs left. The pool bar serves a variety of drinks and there is also a seating area next to the poolbar for a nice lunch. The staff couldn't be more helpful. We for example wanted to rent a car for 3 days. We just asked the receptionist and voila, the next day our very neat Peugot 308 was in front of the hotel. Free tip: if you want to visit something or go around the area, we suggest that you rent a car. It's is not that expensive. It really is the most easy way to get around Mallorca. Last but not least: breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was oh my god! So so yummie! Fresh eggs, a variety of bread, fruit, churros, beverages. A m a z i n g! Dinner was good. Every night there was a different theme (Italian, Spanish,...). There was a lot of diffrent plates so there is always something you will like! To sum up: We had an amazing time here and would come back here! Collapse

Been to this hotel 4 times now and it needs some TLC now. Apparently new management have taken over and have not looked around at what needs attending too. Saw a young lady who apparently was the new Public Relations staff but to me she looked like she was going to a wedding and did not talk to any customers. Totally the wrong impression given out. The hotel still has the amazing staff it always had they are so friendly and helpful can't say this for the management. need more interaction with the customers. There is still the amazing food to quench your appetite as always. Cannot fault the restaurant staff the bar staff and reception at all. The pool area dose not have enough beds, pool closes too early its like school hours. The umbrellas need updating as some of them are broken also not enough umbrellas for the amount of beds. Part of the counter top of the pool bar is broken. Why the small pool is still there is a question as no children are in the hotel at all. There are no Bikes at all now - Why? Air conditioning was not working in the bar and was very hot for both staff and customers. Think it needs a lot of TLC as I have already said. But saying all these things the staff make up for the faults. Still a good hotel. I can say a lot of the customers are very inconsiderate with noise at night, they do not think of the people underneath them when entering their rooms late at night wearing which sounds like hiking boots walking backwards and forwards across their room. To all those who this applies to please think of the people beneath you. Collapse
