Booked this hotel for my little weekend trip with my family. Had a wonderful time. The hotel was nice. Check in was very smooth. The room was nice bit surprised woth the see through window into the shower/bathroom.... pressed the button to the sode and the screen became frosted. The shower was nice, would have been better if we had a bath in the room instead. The facilities were very nice, my children enjoyed the pool. Parking was charged and it was underground... when we came back at night, around 3am, it took the hotel staff around 3-5 mins to let us in through the basement door, not helpful when you are carrying kids whp are asleep. Breakfast was nice. The food on offer was nice, maybe a bit more selection in the pastry department. The tea pot which our tea was served in was cracked a bit... not very appealing.... Checkout was quick and easy no problems at all... All in all a nice hotel to visit.....easy to get to......... Collapse

I am currently staying at this hotel, I have to admit that this is one of the most friendly, most welcoming hotel I have ever stayed in. The food is excellent, as a chef I was very happy with the quality. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff are a credit to the Novotel family. So far on my stay I have been made to feel really welcome and special by Megan whom I met on my first night here. Very friendly smiling all the time and very attentive. Davide and Eloisa and Madeleine have been amazing and again very friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone I know coming here. I am very much looking forward to my stay here again Collapse

We stayed here for 2 nights recently as a handy place to enjoy the rugby at Twickenham. The hotel is about 12 to 15 minutes drive from Twickenham. Our stay didn't get off to the best of starts as not long after arriving the fire alarm went off. One of our party has mobility issues so we operated the call point on the 4th floor stair landing and waited . Unfortunately no one responded so we did our best to descend as far as we could. As it became obvious no one was going to respond I had to go down on my own to alert staff in reception. I explained the situation at which point the alarm stopped. As it was only a drill. I hope in real circumstances disabled people can expect a better response!! We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and found the food to be very nice and the bar staff to be very friendly and helpful. We also had breakfast at the hotel and this was equally as good with a good selection to cater for all tastes. Food is restocked on a regular basis and no noticeable delays in getting what you wanted. The rooms are well decorated and clean. However the disabled access room only has a shower over a bath which may not be suitable for all types of disability. Depending when you arrive car parking may be a challenge. Arriving on the Friday afternoon we managed to find a disabled parking near the main entrance. However on return from the rugby it was a different matter. It would appear that the local football team use the hotel for pre-match meals. As a result many of the parking spaces have traffic cones placed on them reserving them for the team. I the ventured to the underground car park and was unable to find a space in the Novotel section. I was forced to park in another area but there were warnings of substantial fines. I thought I would seek advice from the reception staff on what I could do. The duty manager explained that there was only limited parking and he couldn't do anything. I asked why the hotel allowed disabled spaces to be reserved for the local club to be informed that he was unaware of this and would carry out a review. You only had to look out the main entrance to see the cones. The next advice I received was to go and look for some spaces on local streets. Not very helpful if you are not familiar with the area. Speaking to other guests I wasn't the only one to experience this problem so may be worth avoiding home team match days!! There are several plus points to this hotel but there are some areas where they could do significantly better Collapse

Me and my partner stayed here in February for his birthday, upon arrival we were welcomed by really helpful and friendly staff which was a great way to start our night away :) Our room was clean, spacious and airy with a nice big comfortable bed. The only reason for the average rating was the pool area was really disappointing. Firstly, the pool was being used for swimming lessons, which is fine, but we just wish this information was relayed to us by staff so we could have planned at what time to use the facilities. Secondly, the sauna was not warm at all, which of course defeats the object, so we couldn't sit in it. All in all, a lovely modern hotel with super friendly staff, just such a shame about the pool as me and my partner choose hotels based on their spa/pool facilities. Collapse
