While visiting NY for the 5 Boroughs Bike Tour my friends and I were lucky enough to be greeted happily by Jeffrey at the front desk and then the icing on the cake was the bellman Joshua. Nice location and spacious rooms and Jeffrey and JOSHUA!!!!!!!

Recently stayed Mon-Fri for a work trip. The location is good and close to restaurants and Brooklyn Bridge Park. The onsite parking garage is very convenient. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I had an inside room which made it very quiet for sleeping. The mini fridge is very small and was not very cold. I requested a larger fridge which they accommodated. Breakfast isn’t included even though I’m a regular Marriott customer and rewards member. Housekeeping cleans at night and on my last night they were banging all the drawers and vacuuming the room next to me at 9:15pm. Unsure if I would stay again. Collapse
Nice Marriott in convenient location

This was a nice hotel, with a good concierge lounge. Good breakfast buffet, great coffee machine that dispenses espresso and latte 24 hours, nice lobby and friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

I stayed at this hotel March 30 - April 4, 2018 and I will never stay there again - or at any other Marriott given the number of problems encountered and the hotel's failure to address them during my stay or after. For the sake of brevity, I'll describe only the most egregious of problems, but I cannot emphasize enough how unpleasant my stay was. Positives -- location 2 blocks from my son's apartment and relatively comfortable bed. Negatives -- I did not receive the accommodations reserved and was lied to about the reason; NO PLACE to unpack my clothing, NOT a single drawer - no dresser no nightstand and the world's tiniest closet for a 5 night stay. Staff said dressers are only provided upon request and when I requested one I received an old, chipped, rolling cart with two drawers that had to be held open with one hand while placing clothing in or taking it out. I sat in my room from 10-11:30pm waiting while staff stole a deadbolt lock from another room because mine did not work. Women traveling alone, as I did, would you stay in a room without a lock? Would you sit on the corner of the bed for an hour and a half waiting for a repair? On night two I discovered my room was directly above the ballroom and the room literally vibrated late at night and early in the morning from amped up bass to the loud, loud, LOUD, music from below. And, when the event was scheduled to conclude, the thumping, thumping, THUMPING continued despite my repeated requests that the end time be honored. Light switches almost impossible to find; A/C did not always work; towels were thin and scratchy; one small sliver of soap for both sink and shower; front desk staff balked both times I asked to change a $20 bill so I could leave a gratuity for the folks who clean the rooms -- clearly this was an annoyance for them and it took way too long for my request to be fulfilled. Poor accommodations, poor service, shoddy furnishings, no amenities to speak of, despite Marriott's representations that they offer a superior product. They do not. I made my extreme displeasure known during my stay but the most the front desk manager could see his way clear to do was remove the $25/day "resort" fee from my bill. Following my stay I was contacted by phone by management but he was not interested in responding to the myriad problems during my stay. He kept saying that my experience did not reflect Marriott's customer service but clearly it did because lousy, incompetent, condescending "service" is exactly when I received for 5 days. He suggested that I return for 20,000 Marriott points and I declined. Then 40,000 points and again I declined. Then 1 free night's stay, which I also declined. How could any competent manager or a company who insists that the guest experience is their #1 priority suggest that I should try again by spending additional money where I had a wall-to-wall bad experience? So, the conversation ended when I told the manger that I would accept 2 free nights; he said he needed to call me back. That was three weeks ago. Clearly he's not calling back. I was born and raised in NYC. I know there are far better hotels and though the locations will not be quite as convenient for me, better accommodations and proper customer service will more than make up for the cab ride I'll need to take to get to my son's place. I saw lots and lots of pilots, cabin attendants, and students at this hotel. They can have it. Collapse

From Australia having an official visit at nearby College. Great big hotel wonderfully located in Brooklyn itself near Brooklyn Bridge, some shopping and restaurants. Enjoyed the stay but probably in and out fairly quickly so didn't have a lot of time to enjoy it properly. Unfortunately I left behind a jacket in cupboard and when rang next day from next location no-one could find it but my fault I guess. I don't think the person I rang was overly keen to want to assist at the time. Apart from that enjoyed staying here. Collapse
