After many other nearby stays in Russell Square area. we decided to try the Morton. Reviews and description sounded so British "old world" and we knew the location was perfect. We found everything to be just right. Friendly helpful service, comfortable well appointed room and bath (even wash cloths!). Extra charming reception/lounge/breakfast room/library below ground by elevator from small tiled entry doorway. Felt like we were in the Britain we've seen on TV series. No such feel in California. Our weekend buffet breakfast was generous with eggs cooked to your taste, pan cakes heated up, fresh fruit cocktail and much more.. We attended the Royal Albert Hall and found the #10 bus now runs from there to Russell Square. Other buses direct from Kings Cross/St Pancras or on to Waterloo area and beyond stop very close by as well as the Russell Square station for the tube to Heathrow around the corner. Nothing amiss. Definitely recommended. . Collapse

One of the best London hotels I have stayed in. The location, less than 10 minutes walk from Euston and just round the corner from Russell Square station is ideal. We were also able to walk back from Theatreland in the evening. Our room was a good size by London standards, newly decorated/refurbished and the bathroom was very clean and shiny - the huge fluffy towels were a real treat and there was a full range of toiletries provided. We found the staff excellent, especially when I left my glasses behind and had to run back to fetch them - they found them for me. Breakfast obviously depends on the day of the week and how many people have booked it - it was included in our package. On Sunday morning it was a self service buffet continental with a good choice of food, and coffee and tea served by the staff. On Monday morning it was just as good, but we choice from a menu. This was fine - we could have just as much to eat and drink as we had the previous day and we were attended to by 2 people, who actually brought us more things than we had asked for. I think some people are so used to impersonal buffet breakfasts in hotels that they fail to appreciate the luxury of personal service. The price, including breakfast was not much more then the Premier Inn up the road for a totally different class of hotel. I would definitely stay there again. Collapse

Great location, Minutes to Russell Square tube, and a Waitrose in Brunswick place. Stayed there in July as a family of 3 Spacious room, and solo this time. Always a confortable clean, friendly place to stay! A lounge bar/ breakfast venue/ reading room downstairs which is fun. The staff were all very helpful both stays! The portable smartphone is a great additional service to assist with navigating London, even if I had to mail mine back from my next location after I realised I still had it! Whoops! Collapse

Our party of three stayed there in Jan-Feb 2018 in a suite of three nice rooms including two bathrooms. We were able to self cater for breakfast if we chose and there is a supermarket and several mini-markets close by. Its only 3 mins from the Russell Sq Tube but be aware that you have to climb one flight of steps from the platforms to the lift. This make the tube from Heathrow less suitable for some (and difficlult for all in peak hour) Its a 10-15 min walk to the British Museum and Tottenham Court Rd Good location. Staff helpful. Collapse

Such a great hotel rooms amazing and the best location. But don’t prepay breakfast it’s suppose to be a buffet continental but been here 3 days and only had that once. Rest of the days waiter has offered us coffee and croissants we asked for cereal and got and when they knew we were upset offered fruit. They just could not be bothered . But saying this on the day we did get buffet it was great meats , cheese pastries etc. I know there’s not many people staying but standards should not go down you should get what’s advertised. Such a shame as it’s let the hotel down. Collapse
