Hotel reception and bar area was very nice and modern. The rooms need up dating but are clean and cleaned daily. Walls are thin and depending on who your neighbours are depends on the noise, if you get what I mean?? The breakfast was very good, all other meals were ok and there was plenty to choose from if your not a picky eater. The safety deposit boxes are a bit expensive to say its an all inclusive hotel. WARNING! the pool area is very slippery when wet and the steps from the pool bar area are a death trap, we where there less than 24 hours and witnessed 7 people slip/full on those steps, health and safety would have a field day, need sorting before someone is seriously hurt. It was reported to reception and rep so be warned!!!! Yes there is an issue with the sunbed and if you want one get up before 7am to put your towel on :) The staff are very friendly and helpful. The walk to the beach and shops is only 10 mins but one of the ways is very hilly or has steps but if you walk along the main road its ok. There are Pros and Cons in this hotel as there are in many hotels but this didn`t spoil our holiday. You make your own holiday and we met some lovely people while we were there. Don`t let the reviews put you off, go with an open mind as we did. Collapse

On arrival it is a lovely lobby and lounge bar but on entering the room it is very run down and desperate for a refurb. This wasn't a problem for us as we mainly went out and explored so the room was only used as a pit stop. Food was ok fair bit of variety. Pool area is the same as many other big hotels not enough sun loungers and if you didn't go down at stupid o clock in the morning you would not be able to get one. Hotel was lovely and clean and the staff are all really lovely. All inclusive drinks could do with a bit more choice if I was going to be petty. Evening entertainment was ok we saw a good Freddie mercury act and a very impressive magician. All in all if you want a hotel a 10 minute walk away from a lovely town and beautiful beach this won't disappoint. Just don't go on your high horse it's still a lovely place to stay in the middle of trying to refurb. Collapse
This hotel has its strengths and weaknesses!

Like many other hotels, Mimosa had its strengths and weaknesses! I was there form July 21st to 28th. Basically a good All Inclusive holiday. The original hotel room was very basic but I must say that when we asked to change room this was done with very little fuss and we were given a good choice of rooms, choosing one on the 7th floor but with amazing views and it was actually very quiet in the hotel given its size. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. However, this is the first time after travelling All Inclusive 10 times in 8 years to a variety of hotels in the Balearic Islands that we could not have a Malibu-style drink or a Baileys-style drink for free - this had to be paid for. So - tip! Pop down to the local Spar - there are a few - and buy your own at 7 Euros or so for a substitute! The in-between meals snacks were disappointing, and the evening entertainment rather average, for a large hotel in mid-season. However, the food was good - if a bit plain - with plenty of it, warm and well-cooked, with delicious apple crumble which we all tucked into despite the heat outside! Also be warned - hairdryers have to be hired, and I see this in 2017 as a necessity, which should be provided free of charge, surely, when everyone is swimming or on the beach all day, let alone taking daily showers. A hairdryer is not a luxury! Final warning - the swimming pool is very deep at one end - 9 or 10 feet - with little in the way of warning signs. It was a lovely pool to swim in, and big enough for a large hotel. The daytime entertainment was fine. So a good holiday, generally, if you are aware of the weaknesses and don't mind rather basic rooms. Collapse

On arrival we thought oh very nice hotel the lobby and ber area are very nice and the toilets are fabulous, but I'm afraid that's where it ends. The bedrooms although very clean are really in need of updating they are very basic and you could hear every single word coming from next door which was made even worse by the ancient non working radio that was on the wall between the beds,I'm so glad it was my daughter and my grandson in the next room because it felt like they were in bed with us. We arrived at 9.30pm to be told there was not food available for us, really! In an all inclusive hotel? Next day we went down to the restaurant for breakfast , we didn't bother I have never seen pink sausages before they looked like witches fingers, we waited 15 mins in the queue for fried eggs we then got bored waiting so we put our plates down and we left. We went down for evening meal the food did not look good at all so l got chicken chips and gravy, the lady next to me said oh I see you are getting gravy to hide the taste of the food too! We sat down to eat and I put my fork into the chicken and it oozed pink blood, needless to say we left again and that was the last time we even tried in the restaurant. We were there for the week and never once got a sunbed the whole pool area is too small for the size of the hotel, even the terrace area I have never sat on seats that are as uncomfortable as those mushroom seats. Also please don't leave any money in sight in your room because we always leave our change on the bedside table on day 2 euros went missing, next day 1 euro went missing, the maid who took this didn't realise all our change left at the end of the week was for her, big mistake the 50 odd euros that was left I kept, also she stole my daughters phone charger nice eh. Maybe it's our own fault for booking a last minute cheapy holiday it cost more in the end because we had to eat out everyday even breakfast, as the saying goes you get what you pay for. Collapse
