I have visited Mercure Lhr already twice and i was welcomed by Marika, she is really friendly and smiling at all time, she is super professional and willing to help. I also noticed her knowledge as she always manage to help her colleagues when they ask for her help. She manage to speak to all the customers when they check in and do her job efficiently. I can really see her as a receptionist manager as i can see she had a great control of the reception area when on duty. Look forward to come to Mercure lhr again Collapse

I booked into the Mecure Hotel for one night, en route to joining the Trans-Siberian Express holiday flying out of Heathrow. Very friendly and helpful welcome at reception from Nicholas and the staff. Nice room, standard single, small but adequate, every facility apart from a fridge. The restaurant serves quite a variety of dishes but I didn't expect anything special. My waitress wasn't English and her fluency wasn't too good. I wanted a change to my burger and was quite specific in the way I wanted it cooked and what accompaniments I wanted. The burger was perfect, just as I like it. The chips were fab and the waitress was attentive and very helpful. The staff here are excellent, nothing is too much trouble. Well worth a visit, reasonably priced too. Collapse

Problematic. Given a damp, dusty and tired looking room at first. Rang straight down and Violette was a champ and personally came and helped me move rooms. Second room seemed satisfactory but noticed after an hour or so that air conditioning didn’t seem to be working. Thought just needed time to cool as west facing room and had been warm in London that day. Went for a snack in the bar and rang to report the issue on my return at about 8pm . The male team member apologised and told me someone would be up in five minutes. After half an hour no one had arrived so I rang again and was told maintenance had left for the evening. I was told a fan could be provided. It was adequate but a strange fix. Not sure why a room with air conditioning couldn’t be found, I rang for some room service at 10.32pm - “In Room Dining Menu” said kitchen open until 11pm via room service and via ext 0 after 11.00pm. At 10.32pm the bar told me the kitchen closed at 10:30pm so no more orders. Tried reception and they also stated kitchen closed. Mentioned this to reception next day and told last orders normally at 10:45pm.?!? Mentioned the “In room Dining menu” times and the guy seemed confused. On check out all my issues were mentioned and I was given 20% off my room rate. Seems to be a lot of miscommunication amongst staff especially regarding maintenance and room service times. Also lots of confusion areound Accor member dining discount. Definitely not up to a Mercure standard I’ve experienced elsewhere. Certainly wouldn’t stay again and I’m an Accor member. Admittedly, to their credit, staff coped well as appeared to be seriously under resourced. As a 4*? hotel located near one of the busiest airports in the world I’d have expected room service be available 24 hours per day AND maintenance to be on call. I note recent reviews on TripAdvisor also mentioned air conditioning issues so seems it is a known problem. Collapse

Stayed overnight before a flight out of Heathrow. The place is OK and sums up my feelings of ‘You get what you pay for’. We didn’t pay much for our rooms and as such I can’t complain about what we got. Beds were comfortable, but our room was hot and the air con wasn’t working. The room was noisy (from roads), although it’s nothing compared to our kids waking us up when we’re at home - so I slept very well! Sorry that was a bit of a something and nothing review. The place worked well for our stopover and if I found a similar bargain I’d stay again. Collapse
