Stayed for 2 nights on business. Not a 4 star hotel by any means. Food expensive and poor standard. Room smelt of wet dogs and couldnt move me rooms. No cold water in the morning for the toilet or taps in bathroom. The breakfast was adequate but some items such as eggs were cold and bacon just swam in luke warm grease. I always like to give a plus side though and that is the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The whole place needs an update, some air conditioning putting in certainly in the conference areas and possibly rooms as will get really warm in summer and sort out the many faults. No t very impressed im afraid for £75 per night. Just the basics working would have been fine for me like cold water, non smelling room and a good breakfast. Thats all I ask!!!! Collapse

Arrived for one night for a work event, room was simple maybe a the bathroom could have benefitted with a make over but other than that perfectly adequate, I met up with a work college for dinner in the “Fuel “ Restaurant, This is when the fun started , He had warned me that his meal the previous night had been a complete disaster so my expectations were low , Apparently not low enough !! Garlic bread starters , 1 with cheese , 1 with out please.. Surely that could go wrong ?........ they were actually Amazing , Scorching Hot on the out side yet still Frozen solid on the inside .. WOW We asked for replacements, they both came with cheese so we asked for replacements again , this time as well as what looked like a good blast in the Microwave they had been cremated under the grill , still they were hot and we were now very hungry so made do ! Approximately 1 hr after taking our order we still hadn’t received our main course, the waiter apologised for loosing ur original order and retook, 1 minute later a waitress appeared with my colleagues curry , Much to the surprise of the waiter how still had our new order in his hand !! , My meal then arrived 10 mins later from the fresh order , it was wrong but I would have been happy then , we had ordered puddings to but they never materialised either and by then we had both lost the will to live , I’ve never seen such a disorganised mess , somebody needs to take charge !! We stayed here along with all our wedding guests (the wedding was elsewhere) in April 2018. We booked about 60 rooms and everyone said their rooms were tidy and clean. Breakfast was good and the staff were nice. However, we had a number of problems. There seems to be a problem with the electronic room keys and LOADS of our guests ended up getting locked out of their rooms throughout our stay. There seemed to be no reason for this and the man on the desk just said the keys were rubbish and he was sorry. Kind of annoying....if you know the keys are rubbish and stop working, CHANGE THEM!!!! Also, before we stayed I had made MANY phone calls to the hotel to prebook rooms next to each other for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready in on the morning of the wedding. I had an email to say this had all been organised. When we arrived the recepionist said there was no record at all of this and as the hotel was full, they could not accomodate our room choices. They were also not able to offer double rooms so we ended up having to move rooms the next day. All a bit of a disaster really when I thought I had preorganised it. ALL in all, if you don't mind poor communication between staff members and room keys that don't work, stay here! Spa was nice but not high end. Collapse

There was 4 of us and all had a different meal and neither of them was good in any way. I went to my room in the afternoon while the cleaning!!!! was being done. I watched the bathroom being “cleaned” and she wiped around the toilet bowl and all the surfaces with the hand towel???? Would not be staying here again. Collapse

Stayed here for one night on business as my office location is close by. Easy to park, check in ok and room was adequate. bar was a little odd and not very quiet - also difficult to sit in one place with a laptop to work and go to and from bar so would be nice to be offered table service or recognition if you are alone on business. Would stay here again but mainly because of location than anything else. Collapse
