Stayed one night with national holidays. Double room on 2nd floor with view of the Macron Stadium. Bathroom bit tired could do with update. Evening meal was lovely waiting staff very young did have to ask for plates to be moved before next course, managed to have time for a swim in the leisure pool, staff were lovely. Breakfast was plentiful in nice atmosphere although cooked breakfast could’ve been bit hotter. Had pleasant stay, would recommend. Collapse

Queues at reception with staff wandering past who could have helped. Hearing complaints from other guests as well. Stayed with colleagues they were unhappy with the size of the room. i was given a twin room with small beds so changed but that was dated. Food prices and bar prices unrealistically high. Tardy paint work everywhere, handful,s of sand in the jacuzzi which only automatically started every 15 minutes pool too shallow and poor shape for anything other than splashing around. Changing rooms were diabolically filthy and that was in the morning. The place is falling apart. In desperate need of a refurb and the staff need motivating. Greeted with a guest at breakfast loudly stated no eggs again as the breakfast bar instead of being a buffet has plates of food laid out which are replaced when empty will a delay whilst they cooked it. What really infuriated me was the breakfast staff who walk around with hand spray bottles spraying tables as guests eat and you can taste the spray because it sprays the guests too. Just for that I would not stay again. Is anyone managing this place? I would avoid this hotel. I have rarely said that and it is for good reason. Go somewhere else this hotel does not deliver nor does it care. Collapse

Originally booked in for spa treatments for my Daughters 30th Birthday in March. Treatments were out of this world. Thank you Karen Holland. Barmaid Irene was so much fun. Unfortunately this was the highlight. After booking in January, confirming the week before and checking in, it was failed to be pointed out to us that there would be Thomas Cook delegates and no restaurant - despite being asked what time we would like to eat. There was a buffet which was more from a greasy spoon and we needed to pay £16 each as we weren't part of TC. Our room was right in the middle of them. Woken at 6.30am with them getting ready for the days conference and breakfast. Had to book a table at a local restaurant - which was lovely - couldn't wait to leave the next morning. Made a complaint to manager Nadine Saxton who offered us a complementary weekend. Fast forward four weeks we are back again. So different - enjoyed the spa facilities and the meal in the evening was absolutely lovely and we were given rooms away from the wedding guests in a quieter part of the hotel. Irene the barmaid was also there and remembered us. Like greeting an old friend. Thank you Nadine for resolving this and giving us a memorable stay this time for the right reason. Restored our faith in your company. Thank you Sue and Jemma. Collapse
