We've just returned from a weeks stay during half term. The entertainment was superb, the hotel is well presented (Spanish 4 star isn't the same as British 4 star), food was varied and very enjoyable (and I'm a very fussy eater), and most importantly the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We weren't too sure what to expect with the Weather at this time of year but it was superb, like England late May/Early June (20°C) although it did get nippy on a night but you don't feel it in the Hotel. The hotel is a little bit away from the Torremolinos centre but buses are frequent and reasonably punctual (within 5 minutes). We went to Benalmadina a bit as there was a lot to do there. It was only €10 back in a taxi as well. La Collina train station is a 10 minute walk from the Hotel. There is a long beach outside the hotel with some nice restaurants. The hotel also offers day trips bookable at Reception. The indoor pool is on the small side but it was relative as not many people use it, maybe 4 or 5 kids at a time. The gym isn't like the photos on the website but I understand the hotel is going to be refurbished in the winter. It would be good if the Gym had a good refit with new equipment. There is a good gym 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Me and my Son did get the 24 hr sickness bug but I don't believe we got this from the hotel. We ate different things in the restaurant and my wife didn't get it. The hygiene in the hotel is very good. The day we got it, we'd spent the day on the beach and ate out. Its a shame the hotel is having a refurb next winter as we would have loved to have come back next year. Its very good value for money. Collapse
Best holiday ever

After reading mixed reviews we were a little sceptical as to what we would find. We need not have worried in the slightest! This is a lovely hotel, big reception area with three lots of seating areas, Piano Bar and large bright restaurant. The rooms were in no way tatty, very slightly dated, yes but clean and did the job perfectly. The staff all round were lovely, well presented, jolly and eager to please. The hotel is just on the outskirts of Torremolinos which was perfect for us, slightly less busy and literally ten minutes from Malaga airport. Although we’ve just come back in the middle of February I would say the hotel was half full but busier this week being half term. The food on the whole was very good, a wide selection to choose from and plenty of drinks available to help yourself to when you sit down to eat. Although it’s been very chilly this week there were still some very brave people around the pool. There is also a small heated indoor pool too, perfect for kids who just want to splash around. We walked everywhere, everything was easily accessible on foot if you’re happy to stroll. We certainly exceeded our 10,000 steps a day! Thoroughly enjoyed a girlie week with my daughter. Just one word of warning though. Once you check out at midday your all inclusive ends. Our pick up was 18.30 so we thought we’d have a late lunch before leaving, having had a lazy morning and skipping breakfast. Wrong! There was no leeway or discretion for us to have a bite to eat as they check you in at mealtimes. However, we did sneak in for snacks after lunch had finished as you’re free to enter the restaurant without being checked in! Just something to bear in mind if you have a late flight. Other than that it was a very enjoyable week. Collapse

Stayed at their other one on Lanzarote, The hotel was originally the Pontinental built in the 70's. Very nice inside, we got an upgrade to an end of corridor room, which has 2 double and a single bed, big bathroom, very clean & tidy, the cleaners cleaned everyday and made the beds etc. You get a small flat screen tv in the room. WiFi was OK if a little slow. I had a dodgy lunch one day (i had tuna & artichokes) so I had 2 days of feeling rough. Everyone knows that All-Inclusive means the amount of food that is generated at some point somebody is going to get ill. Apart from that it was a good break for my birthday. Very good staff, and if you get the train from Malaga Airport to La Colina (3 stops and about €4 for 2 people) it's about a 15 min walk...or if your lazy...€20 in a taxi. Collapse
Very Good All round.

Stayed here for 4 weeks between January and February 2018. Made to feel welcome by Christina at reception. Unfortunately we had booked a room on the 'dark' side of the hotel which was very cold. We requested a room on the other side of hotel over the pool with a sea view. The supplement was €125 (€5 per nights remaining) which we paid. On shorter stays supplement to move is €10 per night so ensure when booking to choose wisely. Rooms are spacious with good sized very comfortable beds. Shower over bath. Hair drier and kettle supplied. Bottled water is free from the bar. We were a party of four and none of us really drink alcohol so can’t comment on quality but Pepsi and soft drinks etc are fine. The food choice is varied with something for everyone. Even a Pizza man and vegetarian selection. Different Fresh fish and meats available from the grill every lunchtime and evening and at breakfast you can choose your own omelette with fresh pancakes being cooked for you. Take your own Maple syrup with you as a very small bottle cost me €10 in Torremolinos. Carvery in the evening is a welcome addition if you prefer your meat without sauce. Bottled water is free from the bar for tea/coffee in your room. All 4 of us had the 24 hr tummy bug on separate occasions which we blamed on residents hygiene. We noted a lot of residents NOT washing their hands after using the toilet. This was in the ladies and the gents. We did convey this to Linda the reception manager. Outside the restaurant there is a hand sanitiser to use before entering and sanitisers at the entrance/exit of the pubic loos Buses outside the hotel to Torremolinos terminus where you can catch buses to destinations along the Costa. Train station realistically is a good 20 minutes walk. We really enjoyed our stay but would recommend you take dioralite with you in case of Spanish tummy. Bar and restaurant staff are really friendly. Thank you Marconfort we have happy memories to share. Collapse
