Spent a week at this Marriott. Enjoyed it!

Go for the room with the complimentary breakfast. Sam items each morning but a wide variety and very tasty. The executive lounge can save you some money but the area was very small. Near the financial area near the West India Quay.

Stayed here last week for business. Location is great in Canary wharf especially for business and plenty of choices for food, underground is walking distance.Room was small and these guys wouldnt give bottle of water without charging. Same breakfast on second day cost double. and My cab ride to airport was given to someone else at 5am which made me scramble for new one. and then charged additional $$ since someone else came with me to the airport. Bar is great and bartender there was helpful/friendly. I have traveled a bit and amazed at this quality, given you are gold member. Think non member :) Collapse

We were going to a show at the O2 so this was an ideal place to stay. We parked in the Car Park down the road, having pre-booked online, and the hotel is just a short walk away. As soon as we arrived it was obvious that they try to go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. There was a very short queue for check in but we quickly had a couple of apologies for the wait and an offer of drinks and chocolates! Check in was simple and friendly, with advice given on the choices for getting to the O2 and we went up to our room. While not huge, it was clean and tidy with a large TV, a kettle for tea and coffee and a fridge into which we put a bottle of our own wine for later. As it turned out, the fridge wasn't very cold but at least it helped a little. It turned out that we were in a room for the disabled as all of the bathroom fittings were set up for that. It had everything that we needed but having a wet shave would have been awkward as the sink was very shallow and there was no plug or shaving mirror. Maybe a little more thought is needed for the bathroom layout? We had a good nights sleep although the air conditioning was a little temperamental as it warns that it may take up to 20 minutes to change temperature so it becomes difficult to know where to set it. At first we were too cold, later in the night, when it had stabilised itself, we were too warm. We went down for breakfast in the morning, where there is plenty of choice although the cooked items, continental choices, drinks and bread are all spaced apart from each other, meaning you need to take a mazey walk backwards and forwards to get everything that you need. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast, went back to our room for our things and checked out, once again with a friendly goodbye. Collapse

We have stayed at The Marriott Hotel Canary Wharf many times over the years, what makes this hotel stand out from other Hotels in the area is the great professional services! The standard of service, the cleanliness of rooms, the special treatment, the friendliness of the staff never wanes, it's such an inviting place, hence we return time and time again each year. I met Rolf Smeltekop the Reservations Manger who assured me a wonderful stay and provided just that, it was great! Our family also stay at this hotel and our daughter stayed with us on this occasion, she had a wonderful stay. The location of the hotel is great as it’s away from the hustle and bustle of the shops, yet only minutes away from bars, restaurants and the shops. The tube is nearby and your only 20 mins away from central London by car. We always book the executive rooms with quayside view, preferably on the seventh floor. The beds are typical Marriott, large and comfortable, the rooms are spacious, modern with nice views. The toiletries are good quality, and the bathroom has both bath and shower. The executive lounge area is a great place to sit and relax serving delicious wine, hot and cold nibbles with drinks available most of day and evening. The breakfast is served in the ground floor restaurant they really do an excellent breakfast, all cooked fresh with a massive choice. The cocktail bar and restaurant in the hotel is well worth a visit. I particularly want to thank Rolf who is always so polite, helpful, friendly and professional when I’m making my reservations. All the staff, without exception, went the extra mile to make our stay memorable I would definitely recommend a stay at this lovely hotel”. Collapse

Stayed here for three weeks for business. The only perk is its proximity to office buildings and it's part of the Marriott group so I can get some points for my stay. Room service was not good. Gym room is 24/7 but just an average gym room
