I was with my wife and a 4 year old and we enjoyed our stay. The reception is modern and we stayed here mainly because we wanted two double beds in a relatively large room at a good price and decent proximity to central london. The location is great as Kilburn park Underground is less than 10min walk away (Bakerloo Line gives you access to major locations). Tesco express and Starbucks are barely a 2 min walk if you need something. We also used Uber when we wanted to head back to hotel quickly from Oxford circus and the ride is short and convenient, within a 10 to 15 pounds range. If you want a meal, the attached restaurant is reasonably priced and serves good food, we had one breakfast and lunch in the cafe. All in all, I would recommend this hotel if you have kids or even for business. It is value for money from my perspective. As I drove down from another part of UK, it would have been great if I could have access to the carpark or if there is a short term parking by the hotel for me to unload my luggage and ensure all luggage is in the room before I return my rented car. Unfortunately, I was told by Marriott's staff that I park at my own risk just outside of Marriott's main entrance. Given I was with a kid, this situation could have been better managed as I am not looking at long term parking but just to ensure a proper check-in and my family is sorted out. Collapse

We have previously stayed at the Marriott Maida Vale and were extremely pleased with our stay and could not find any fault during our stay. On this occasion, 27th May 2018, we found that standards have dropped and if reflected in the other Marriott Hotels, does not reflect well for the hotel group. Our first disappointment was to be placed in a room with an adjoining door to another room, which is clearly for families. We did not have time to request another room as we had barley enough time to refresh and change before going to a dinner engagement, so we had to put up with a noisy neighbour Whilst we had complimentary tea and coffee, the hotel no longer provide complimentary bottles of water or biscuits. We later found that whilst the television had 53 Channels we could only tune into five of them. In addition the air conditioning was automatically set to 210 degrees, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. The windows were locked so we could not gain fresh air into the room. We did bring the poor television reception, lack of personal control to the air conditioning and being unable to obtain fresh air to the hotels reception. In respect of the locked windows, apparently following the hotels refurbishment the builders did not provide the hotel with the keys to the window locks, which I find highly unlikely. Should there be a fire in the communal area outside the room, which is adjacent the lifts and stairs, then there is no fire escape. As to the television and air conditioning, whilst we were promised that this would be attended to, this was not the case. I do not advise vegetarians to have breakfast at the hotel, as they are not as well catered for. No vegetarian sausages just baked beans, eggs and mushrooms for you cooked breakfast. They do have roast potatoes, which is a bit weird for breakfast. Collapse

My husband and I stayed here Sat-Mon of the London marathon weekend. It is a lovely hotel. The staff were friendly and approachable. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was immaculate. We made use of the executive lounge on the 7th floor and it was a pleasant space with nice views of the area. There was a good selection of drinks and snacks available too, if wanted. Carluccios restaurant is appended to the hotel and we ate here both nights to save having to venture very far. It was lovely. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the tube station. Collapse

Stayed there for 2 days and the over all experience was good. Friendly staff, clean and well maintained rooms. Excellent choice for breakfast with live kitchen. Restaurant and shopping a 5 min walk from the hotel. Area of improvement : WiFi is limited in the rooms and your are required to be a member of the group. Wish they would have some drinking bottled water in each rooms Key cards had to be kept ready on arrival. Since we were a group of 18 ppl and we had to wait for approx 30 min to get our key cards. This could have been avoided by keeping them ready well in advance Collapse
