I’m a lifetime Marriott platinum guy and only stay in the chain My only complaint was the staff kept telling me how full the hotel was to cover short Fall in service . The lounge was always out of food and the attendants were hiring frequently out of sight If the hotel is booked - prepare for that. My room was not even a slight upgrade and again as the hotel was so full, yet it was certainly fine. The staff was truly courteous but felt the concierge was not up on things - when asked about a play he had no idea if it was worth seeing , when asked how to get to a major Sunday market was unsure. All in all nothing terrible but nothing exciting either Collapse

I can not begin to tell you how much we loved our stay at London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square April 20th - 25th of 2018. It was the perfect hotel, in the perfect location, with service that went above and beyond anything we expected. In terms of service Kelly, the hotel's guest relations representative went to great lengths to make the stay extra special for our two children. Not only was Kelly helpful in helping us coordinate out stay ahead of time, we were blown away by the extra treats and note that was left in our room upon arrival. Since we had access to the Executive Lounge, I need to give further compliments to the staff. Whether it was some extra cookies for the kids, a pile of napkins when we had a spill, or packing away a little extra snack for later that staff in the lounge went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Also, huge kudos to the concierge for all their help along the way. In terms of the hotel itself, it was beautiful. Well maintained and well attended to. Very modern and sleek. One thing that stuck out -- even though there were several large events happening during the time of our stay, the events were well controlled and we always felt like we could come and go as we needed and never felt crowded. And the rooms are spacious enough and removed that there wasn't a hint anything was going on downstairs. And lastly the location -- tucked within a quiet pocket of Mayfair. You can not beat it. We are walkers and could, literally, get to anything on foot if we chose. And just far enough removed from the business So thank you for the wonderful stay. We would definitely, definitely return when we find ourselves in London again. You went our of your way to make our trip to London truly special and it is very much appreciated and will be remembered. Collapse

I stayed at this property for over 11 nights on business and during that time was able to see most that this property has to offer. My room was good and fulfilled its purpose with a large bathroom. The service was good but there is a feeling that they are in need of a renovation to keep pace with the neighborhood. Elevator buttons that were loose, carpet pulled up in spots.. Collapse

I am a lifetime platinum Marriott guest and I am unfortunately embarrassed that, with the exception of one in Germany, the UK Marriotts just struggle with basic service and are probably the worst for food and service in the global Marriott chain. This is a nice hotel in a prime position but.... DO NOT ACCEPT A ROOM ON THE 6th Floor - the air conditioning units sit in the roof above and if, as we experienced, there is a maintenance issue they do not seem to have a way of recognising it - forget an easy nights sleep. They will gladly put you in a room regardless. The staff on the desk, Concierge and in the exec lounge are generally very helpful. The bars and restaurants are a different matter. It would appear that both Maze and the Luggage room are run by Gordon Ramsay - the food is great but the reception staff have taken on an "air of arrogance" that makes you feel like you should be grateful for even being considered suitable to eat or drink there. These are all young girls in their 20's with NO sincere capability at genuine service. If you dare to think that you might want to stay in the Hotel you will find that even if you just want a drink then if you have not reserved a place then you may well be unlucky. The place is full of people not staying at the hotel and you will have no standing in order or priority. The luggage room is particularly poor as it appears to attract groups of young people just coming for cocktails. The waiting staff in Maze do deserve credit for a high level of service. Collapse

My usual annual trip to London for business and this year decided to stay here. What a wonderful choice. Mayfair is a very nice area and this Marriott is very nice. As a Platinum member - the lounge was fantastic. Good food and help finding a local restaurant. This hotel is just a block or two from Oxford street shopping. Room was just right for me traveling solo and would be perfect for a couple. Good Gordon Ramsey restaurant. Definitely give the luggage room a try... Also close to the older US Embassy. Its closed now. Collapse
