My wife and I stayed here for a few days before heading to Switzerland to begin a Rhine river cruise. We both found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent and we had a clock tower view which was great. We found the food to mostly be excellent and room service was above par. The only food disappointment was that we found the breakfast to be below par especially for the price. Check in and check out was very good and they even had our room ready hours early due to our early flight arrival. The hotel was elegantly decorated and we both found our room and bath to be very spacious especially for a London hotel. Overall we both enjoyed our stay here very much and will definitely stay here whenever we visit London. I have no problem recommending this hotel to any friends or family. Collapse

I recently stayed at this Marriot. The location right outside the London Eye was spectacular. I was working right at Southbank and this was fairly convenient. The room was impeccable and the staff was extremely courteous. The only negative was I was in the room furthest from the elevator. It was a 3 minute walk through the hallways, it would have been much more convenient to have a second entry on the opposite side of the hotel. Collapse

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. We stayed there for 10 days in March. The room was extremely spacious for the 3 of us, with two double beds. Lots of space for our stuff and a large bathroom. Best shower ever, with the amount of water from the shower head. Loved the double closets, couch and desk. The room was clean and very quiet. We ate breakfast here every morning and enjoyed both the food and the service. Had dinner here twice, and sat in the bar a couple of evenings. The concierge were extrememly helpful with our plans, dinner reservations, questions. The doorman were so friendly. We highly recommend and hope to return someday. Collapse

I have stayed at this property three or four times now this year. In the past I always stayed at a boutique Marriott in St James that had very tiny rooms. The first time I stayed here, I didn't think I'd ever come back. We had a issue with reservations and we ended up having to pay for two rooms because the children would not fit in our room. However, the second time with a little prework was much better and by the third time it was pretty wonderful. The rooms are very roomy and I almost always get a lovely view of the Thames River. The property is very large so if you are older or have any leg problems ask to be close to the elevator. Don't worry they aren't too close. It's very quiet. To be honest, the service which starts at the front door and the concierge is phenomenal. The location and especially the serive here is really what I keep coming back for. On my last visit, I brought my family and my son's birthday fell on the last day of our visit. Keep in mind, both the food and the service in the Concierge Lounge has a lot to be desired and really doesn't compare to most other Marriott properties around the world. But the differentiator in both food and service is right downstairs at Gillray's is wonderful. While the Consierge Lounge is free for Titanium Members, Gillray's only charges 10GBP to EliteMembers. I really can't say enough about the hostess, the server(s), the manager. One example that stands out to me, is one of the servers 'Felicia' heard us talking to our son about it being his birthday. To our surprise she brought him these amazing pancakes on a painted plate and the whole crew came and sang to him. They catered to him the entire time we were in the restaurant. I wish I could say the same about the Library but we have yet to try it. While there are always lots of open tables, if you don't have advance reservations they won't accommodate. This really has become my new favorite London hotel. There is room for improvement but I'm happy to see it only improve. Collapse
