Stayed here one night just to get free express pass for 2 days to universal parks. Was a great decision. A bit pricey but the savings on express pass more than makes up for it. Service was impeccable, property listed and gorgeous. Walk or take water taxi to the universal parks. Best value is because of express pass and early park entry. Will stay here again. Collapse

This was our second visit ... the hotel is absolutely beautiful, fantastic theming and the rooms are clean, bright and a perfect size for our family of two adults and a teenager. The fast passes you receive as a result of staying here are an absolute god send - we only stayed one night and got the fast passes for two full days .... you don't need to wait until the actual check-in time, simply leave your luggage with luggage services and get off and enjoy the parks, and come back and get your room number later. The walk to the parks is a mere 7 minutes, and is a nice stroll... although there are river boats to take you if there's no lightening in the area. There's also tuck-tuck bikers who can ride you to the parks in carriages, although we never used them so I don't know the costs involved. We had the buffet breakfast in the restaurant, which was fantastic. Amy made the best omelette I have ever had! There really was something for everyone - and the greatest fresh fruit selection I have ever seen. Our server Eulaine was an absolute wonder - nothing was too much trouble, she made the breakfast experience just by her personality. The only downside and slight annoyance was the check-in process .... the queue really is too long, and as we had a problem and had to queue a couple of times, really exasperated me. Because of the number of things which need explaining to each group checking in, it is a slow process, and it would be great if the hotel had more staff on check-in. I spent an hour of my holiday queuing at the check-in desk for various reasons! Abdel at check-in, however, was a great member of staff, who showed fantastic customer service. All in, the hotel is absolutely beautiful, and I wouldn't hesitate booking it again for our visits to Universal - I'd just brace myself for the queues for check-in first! Collapse
$400 FOR STAINED SHEETS, HALF USED TOILETRIES AND DIY BED!!! One night....

We, five adults from 55 down to 18, stayed last week for one midweek night. We booked in UK and paid over $400 for one night. We noted that rooms slept 5 adults and reviews were good. We checked in at 7.30 am and collected our park Express passes. We were promised a text message as soon as our room was ready. We had planned to return to the hotel for a rest midday. Unfortunately that text never came. We returned to the hotel tired, hungry and wet and queued for 20 mins to get our keys. We asked why we never got our text, they assured us it was sent ...... It was not received!! When we finally got to our room we were upset to see how small it was. It was certainly not big enough for five adults. The rollaway was not set up and we had to move heavy furniture to try and squeeze the child sized camp bed into a gap next to the window. Went to find bedding in the closet and opened out the cover to notice three large yellow stains, looking suspiciously like urine, over the cover. It was not clean and looked to have been put into the plastic bag and did not smell fresh!!!!! We also had half used toiletries in the bathroom and coffee supplies for just two people .............. at a charge of $400! I have had suites in Vegas, rooms at top London hotels and whole houses for a week for less than this price. We went to complain, again queued 20 minutes, it was getting late, we were all very tired and it was all getting too much. We were dealt with by a trainee who offered to have us sent fresh sheets but "there were no top covers left"!!!! In a hotel of this size. My 24 year old daughter only wanted to sleep and it was not possible. I asked to move rooms, I got a feeling that because we booked through a third party this was not an option! Eventually, after checking with a "Mystery Man" in the back, we were shown two rooms in the bowels of the hotel! I went back to tell my family and they were asleep, except daughter who refused to sleep in the "pee covers". Return trip to reception, 15 minute wait. Begged for clean covers and a clean pillow. Clerk had to input requests into computer and assured me covers and pillow would be 10 mins................ Almost an hour later housekeeping showed up with two pillows and absolutely no knowledge of any covers!!!!! I was now fit to cry, this really was not what I expected from this hotel. I was offered a drink voucher and a parking voucher. I Think a refund would have been more appropriate. Since reading reviews on Orlando Facebook pages it seems that my experience was not an isolated one! This hotel sells itself on quality and service. I was happy with neither. I am a Group Tour Organiser in the U.K. and take large groups to the USA on a regular basis. I was looking at this hotel for my group in 2018/20. Needless to say, I will not be taking my group there. I am writing to the Hotel Manager in these terms too as a very disappointed guest. Unless you are two in a room and can get a very good price, I hear people staying the same night as us paid as little as £150. We booked six months in advance and paid a high price it seems, then I would not recommend this hotel. Collapse

Loews Pacific Resort is a beautiful hotel with nice amenities. Though pricey at $369, the included express pass and early park admission make up for it. It actually saved us money overall. Another great feature is that as soon as you get there, you can check in and start using the facilities, including the express pass for universal parks. They give you your room keys, then text you when your room is ready...go to front desk and they activate your room keys. We were happy with the dinner we had at one of the restaurants. All staff was friendly and helpful. Our two hiccups were room related. We originally had a room which was on the first floor by the pool. The hallway had a very strong mildew smell. Our room also had a strong mildew smell. There was a fan running in the hallway, which seemed to rid the hallway of the smell. But our room still had it. We requested a room change, which they provided on another floor. The new room, in my opinion had a faint smell of mildew. I know that makes me sound a little crazy. But I actually have a very bad sense of smell, so if I smell it...you know. We came to believe that maybe it was coming from the a/c vent system. Anyway, the room change was fine. However, when we returned back on our second day from a long day at the parks around 3:30pm, our room hadn't been cleaned yet and the cleaning lady was out in the hallway. She said she was going to do it now, but after such a long day we were exhausted and didn't want to leave our room so she could clean it. She didn't say she was sorry at all, that was annoying. I just got clean towels and coffee from her. For any hotel room, but especially one at this price point, I think all rooms should be clean by 2:30 at the latest. Having said that, I would probably stay here again, but request a room not on the first floor; and definitely request my room be cleaned by 2:30. Collapse
