We've just returned from our trip through Thailand with our two kids (9 and 5 years old). The start (4 nights) and end (3 nights) of the trip were booked at the Lebua hotel and we enjoyed every minute of it ! The reception was very warm and friendly. We booked a superior suite with balcony, but were upgraded to a larger studio-like apartment on the 22 floor. I think we spend the first half hour of our stay just marvelling at the fantastic city view from our room :-). Hotel facilities were excellent, our kids loved the pool near the breakfast restaurant, and the breakfast buffet was amazing. Besides the facilities, what stood out for us the most is the fact that, although the hotel is very large and luxurious, it still manages to maintain a very personal feel to the whole experience. A simple example: when arriving back in the hotel at the end of our trip, we received a lovely welcome back gift in our room (we made sure we got the exact same room as during the start of our trip by the way). In the past we've made multiple trips to Asia, but I found the Lebua to be the best hotel we have visited so far. When we return to Thailand (and we surely will, since it is a beautiful country), we will surely stay in this hotel again ! The only disadvantage that I could find was that our experience at the Lebua hotel made the other hotels we visited during our trip to Thailand look bad in comparison ;-). Collapse

Being a club room we had access to food and drinks (including alcohol) from 11am to 6pm. as a result we found it hard to spend any money while we were there!! I would highly recommend it Collapse

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in August. We found the hotel to be in a good location close to transport like trains and river taxis. There is also lots of places to eat nearby that are quite cheap. The staff are very friendly and courteous and we found them more than willing to help. We did however find check in a little slow, this hotel always seems busy so maybe that is why, and another reason why we found the elevators/lifts quite slow and busy at times also. There is good views of Bangkok from this hotel especially if you go up to the Sky Bar. It can be a little price up there however. One of the downfalls with this hotel we found was that the walls where quite thin between rooms. We could practically hear our neighbours whole conversation at times and then we had a problem of other neighbours playing loud music and partying. This put a bit of a black mark on our stay. We also heard quite a bit if hammer drilling coming from one of the floors late one afternoon as we tried to rest. Overall though this is a good hotel for a night or two. It is clean and has really good facilities. Just be aware of potential noise. Collapse

We have just spent 3 days in the Lebua at state tower hotel and from the time we entered the hotel until we left it was a great experience. We had booked 2 suites but was upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite at the 54. Floor with river view. The suite was great and the view was fantastic. We had tower lounge access included and that was really a great supplement to our stay. Breakfast was fantastic and we enjoyed that every morning. The bars and restaurants were mainly located at the top floors of the building and was very nice but also very expensive. But try a drink in the sky bar at night it is really nice. My only really negative point for our stay was the elevators in the hotel. I have never spend so much time waiting for elevators as I did in this hotel. You could easily wait up to 5-6 minutes and often the elevators were full when coming to your floor. it seemed to me that the capacity was not enough for both guests and staff. All in all a great place Collapse

The accommodation was out of this world. I traveled with a friend for a 4 day/ 3 night stay in Bangkok. The rooms are immaculate and can not be faulted. The rooms are massive and the bathroom is epic! The beds are super comfy and the view from our room, over the city was beautiful. The hotel has a lot of elegance and class and the staff and facilities are second to none. I heard mixed reviews regarding the location of the hotel, however we found it to be perfect, as it wasn't too close to the city center but wasn't far away either. You could travel into town on a tuk tuk, taxi, bus or boat and all for dirt cheap, and we found this to be a better way of exploring the city anyway! The hotel restaurants and bars (sky bar) do both amazing drinks and food, so what like a high end London venue. They were recognisably more expensive that most places, but if you're used to London/ UK prices, then it wont come at a shock to you, and a drink in the iconic sky bar is a must, having the film 'Hangover' was filmed there and at the hotel, and they even have a dedicated drink for it, in which they created during filming for the crew and have kept ever since due to it's popularity. To top off the hotel, it has a lovely outside pool area half way up, or down, however you look at it. I literally can not fault the hotel, staff or accommodation. The only thing that I didn't like, was having paid for the hotel, they want a 3500 baht deposit, which becomes annoying when traveling, as it only seems to be the higher end hotels that ironically do it. The hotel is a higher end resort and shines throughout. It has class and is worth a stay! Collapse
