After eagerly anticipating our stay at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi, we feel to have been slightly let down with our trip. On arrival to the hotel we were greeted in a friendly & warmly manner and given all the relevant information necessary for our stay, as we were staying half board we were clearly told and understood were we can and can't eat etc After this useful information We quickly were given our room key which was fantastic and just what we needed after an 8 hour flight. Upon entry to our room (city view) it was evident that a air conditioning vent has fallen off, creating a gaping hole in our room. However this was swiftly rectified and dealt with as someone from maintainence came to fix the problem. During this period our luggage had still not arrived at our room, and took a further 3 visits down to reception finally get our bags delivered to our room approx 1hour & 15mins By the second day after enjoying the pool facilities and other amenities, we thought as we were celebrating a birthday we would upgrade our room & have a sea view for the following 3 nights. We were charged 376AED which we thought was very reasonable for this added benefit. Little did we know we were checking into and buying front row seats for a music festival between the hours of 8pm - 3am, coupled with continuous noise of the building site. Don't expect much sleep at all, and to hear chart toppers to rock ballads constantly throughout the night and into early hours. And are woken up by a blend of cranes & diggers. By the second night I felt we had to mention something to reception as it was unbearable. The pool facilities are absolutely fantastic, and really are a gem. They have good happy hours, sunbeds and a choice of pools. We really enjoyed that part of our stay, and what we expected from a 5* resort The choice of food is also very good if you are staying half board, with a good range of restaurants and also use of the Westin dining options are very beneficial. Blue Orange was fantastic. Breakfast is also pretty good with a good range and what I would expect from this sort of establishment The lack of sleep & noise however leaves a sour taste knowing you have spent a hefty amount on the stay. After so looking forward to staying at Mina Seyahi we felt it is certainly not worth the money we have spent. You feel tired after been kept awake, don't feel relaxed and you don't get a good nights sleep which is exactly what you need when coming away on holiday. Housekeeping is fantastic and deserve plaudits Remember to bring your ear plugs Collapse

Hotel is great, location is excellent and staff especially House keeping and waiting on staff exceptional however for the price I paid on booking.com I felt it was a bit over priced especially with all the building work around the hotel and the views were of crayons and building sites from sea view bedroom (208) to be precise. Also I booked at booking.com of £3410 for 3 adults 9 nights to checking in to an “extra” payment of £833 Breakdown: Service Charge 155.20 AED per day Tourism Dirham fee 20.00 AED per day Municipality Fee: 175.20 AED per day Room Vat: 5% 96.36 AED per day Lucky I have the money but if you were on a budget and didn’t have the disposable cash you wouldn’t be getting very far. Breakfast is very much over priced at £27 per day per person unless you book at the time with breakfast included. Apart from that an ok stay, if I come back to Dubai I would rather say in sister hotel Westin (next door) Collapse

Visited on half board basis which was great as was able to utilise Westin restaurants for dinner too giving better variety. Breakfast seemed a little limited in comparison with other hotels I’ve stayed at in Dubai. Staff were busy and service to get a drink could be very slow. Nice to see a healthy option restaurant KCal. Staff very good and facilities great again as can use Westin pool too. Westin pool kids facilities were better for us and our toddler who loved the slide and bobbing round the large shallow pool in a ring. Would visit again on half board but only on the basis that you can use the Westin restaurants too otherwise it would be very limited. Collapse
