Langham hotel very friendly and helpful staff, well appointed and comfortable room. Really powerful shower which my husband really liked Disappointed not to dine in the 3 Michelin star T’ang Court restaurant as it was fully booked We included breakfast for our week which was a result best breakfasts on our 5 week break Our only disappointment was our meal in there Main Street Deli The booths seem to be an authentic replica of Happy Days burger bar however the chandeliers and music for us was totally wrong and the food did nothing to improve the experience the burger was flavourless far to lean making it very dry and the cheesecake was off putting as it could have easily fed 4 but it was bland. The Langham is ideal for shopaholics minutes from Harbour city and many other great places to spend A worthwhile week of our break Collapse

I originally booked my stay at The Langham Hotel because of its proximity to to everything in Kowloon. I was right about the proximity to the harbor, ferry, shopping and sights. What I realized as soon as we were checked into our Langham Club room by the amazing Kelly was that the hotel excels in service in every area that matters to a guest. Have Sam the doorman get you a cab and he gives destination instructions to the driver;. Ask Rach the concierge questions about where to shop or eat and you’ll eat and you’ll get details that only a native can give you. Ask endless questions of Kelly about where to go or what to see and she will come up with numerous recommendations and then she will follow up on her suggestions. To be honest, our visit to Hong Kong would have been totally different if we hadn’t been fortunate enough to have Kelly check us in initially. The hotel would still have been exceptional and an excellent value for the money spent but we wouldn’t have been so comfortable staying there. Stay at the Langham if you want an exceptional hotel stay in Hong Kong. Collapse

I had a very nice stay at this property, which I think tries to maintain the style of the grand old hotel. Pros: - Generally very pleasant and helpful staff - Great location for my purposes - Good variety and decent quality of breakfast - Surprisingly good signature cocktails at the bar - Decent-sized room Cons: - My room could have used some upgrading - Persistent musty smell in room First, I have to say the nearly all of the staff--and especially the concierge team--were very pleasant and very helpful. Whether it was planning the day's activities, extending our checkout time, opening doors, pouring drinks, or discussing restaurants, they always cheerfully provided assistance. The location is also excellent if you're looking to be in the middle of shopping, close to the waterfront, and overwhelmed by the choice of restaurants. And, although the hotel is close to a busy road and in the midst of throngs of people and traffic, it's quiet and pleasant inside. Breakfast--included in my room rate--was more than adequate. There were both Asian and Western options, and while the selection didn't change much from day to day (for example, the fried rice and Asian vegetable selection changed, though not much else did), the quality and flavors were good. There is a noodle soup station and a station where eggs/omelets are freshly prepared. The Artesian Bar: Located off the lobby, this is an unpretentious, rarely busy little bar with comfortable seating and, in my opinion, very good signature and classic cocktails. The bartenders were very polite and unintrusive, but also talkative if you wanted that. My only disappointment--which was relatively minor in the grand scheme--was that the room was a bit tired looking and had a musty smell. There were some stains on the carpet. Some of the furnishings were very cheap-looking particle board, and were chipped and ragged. A subtle air freshener would have helped, as well. I don't know if all rooms are similar, but that particular room could really use a face lift, including the bathroom. Nonetheless, everything was clean and housekeeping did a good job keeping it that way. Also, they clearly took notice of how much water I was drinking, because they were leaving a half dozen complimentary bottles at each visit by the end of my stay. I should mention also that the T'ang Court restaurant--a Michelin 3* establishment located in the hotel--offered a wonderful Cantonese cuisine experience in a non-intimidating environment. I generally liked this hotel and would probably stay at it again, though am hoping that my next room will look and smell more fresh. The Four Seasons and the Ritz look they way you'd expect a luxury hotel to look, but there's something to be said for The Langham's location and staff. Collapse
