Building site comes to mind, lots of work going on, smell of diesel around and dust. Staff very attentive, but checking in hold ups due to 300 rooms being renovated. Club room not available till 2pm, was asked if we wanted to move to Al Nassem (see review of this hotel ) hotel other side of wild wadi park, but no real club rooms, swimming pool small and you can not use the club pool at JBH. Do not book through Sirius (hotel site) 17% more expensive, but a lot of people do, to get points and upgrades??? The half board vouchers can not be used at all restaurants unless you pay a surcharge? Even if it is not your fault, you can't get a refund on unused vouchers? ?? Visit Marsa Al Arab ( google it ) and look at video of the next 3 years work? Collapse

Just spent six nights in this amazing hotel. Location, staff, room, pool and restaurants all fantastic. All staff were polite and helpful. We were very lucky our room was ready for us on arrival even though it was early morning, they very quickly put in the extra bed for our daughter. We had a balcony which was great to use in the evening and the view was spectacular. Huge variety of food to suit us all. Only one pool open but never seemed overcrowded and the staff there very attentive, loved that they came around with ice lollies several times a day. We were made fully aware that renovation work was going on and they have done their best to limit the impact, only negative was the loud drilling that was going on above us that went on past 7pm on a couple of nights. We would definitely stay here again. Collapse

We stayed (2 adults and our 9 year old son) in August 2017 in a Superior Club room. The entire experience was superb, from initial pre booking to the return hotel transfer, and everything in between. As part of the package we had airport transfers (about 20 mins), a huge car more than capable of the three of us and plenty of luggage. There is a small lounge at the airport just after customs which makes arrival very smooth. Both drivers, there and back, acted as 'tour guides' pointing out various landmarks and things to do. The reception at the premier leisure club (plc) was most welcoming, with a cold glass of wine and then shown to our room on 16th floor. The room was large and well decorated, quiet, very comfy bed, big bathroom. The PLC was quite busy most nights however, unlike other club lounges we have stayed in, this meant it was easy to meet other guests and socialable, with the children having a games room to play in to keep them entertained. The drinks and nibbles were plentiful, professionally served, and top quality. Afernoon tea was also fabulous with a good selection. Breakfast in the Latitude restaurant must have one of the largest breakfast selections in any hotel, absolutely incredible range. However, it can get very busy towards the end of the breakfast period. We took half board option and were thankful for it, as eating / drinking out is expensive. There is a huge choice of restaurants either in the hotel or other local hotels all accessbile via golf cart transfer (most appreciated in the August heat), and most seemed to accept the half board vouchers. Another perk is the free access to the water park which is right next door, something our son loved. I heard from another guest in the PLC that there is an exclusive 10-11am access for hotel guests only. We had stunnig views of the beach from our room, particularly at sunset, and although there are renovation works ongoing below these are mostly covered up and certainly did not impact our stay. The pools are also most relaxing, lots of lifeguards which is reassuring for families. Many thanks to all the staff, most friendly and extremely professional. I think you would struggle to find a better experience, and the HB option with club is a great deal IMHO, and we cannot wait to return. And from what I heard, many of the guests were repeat visitors, which I don’t find surprising. Collapse
Dont book until renovations are over!!!!!!!!!!!

this could have been a wonderful experience but the place is a buiding site and work goes on day and night. You cannot use your room in the daytime if you are close to the work as you can hear the drilling. You are supplied with earplugs on arrival and a teddy to ask you to 'bear with them' The affected rooms shouldnt be used. We were moved after 3 days we could still hear it but not as bad (12th floor) You can hear it at the pool...even at night when you swim.. the extra beds for kids are ancient and broken..we had them replaced then in the 2nd room they were broken again so clearly a large amount of these beds are useless. Staff were great in all areas except reception who advised we should have known the noise was all day...i guess theyre used to being moaned at? Just be aware and if you have already booked ask them to change your booking to the new hotel its lovely.. Collapse
beyond my expectation !!!!
