This hotel is superbly situated and the rooms are comfortable with gorgeous views over the pool and ocean. The facilities overall are also excellent. The only minor issue was with a night manager who insisted that a problem in the room was not the case. I had to get hotel personnel to come to the room just to prove him wrong. Of course, the staff were deeply apologetic and made the situation right. But it's a pity when the awkward stubbornness of one ill-advised and unsympathetic member of staff can cast a negative shadow upon an otherwise pleasant experience. One hopes he's learned his lesson about what it means to be in the hospitality industry. Overall, it's a hotel to be recommended. Collapse

This is a great hotel with a lot of potential but some things need to be formulated. It is a recent hotel but the furniture and in general it is expected to be well maintained. The rooms are not in exceptional condition. The reception team was a little slow with the check in. They seem to have no experience with the guest. Some of them were really uncomfortable with us. The checkcout was a bit turbulent. Btw, The housekeeping team was amazing, the room was cleaned between 10 am and 10.30 and all the team was really nice during our stay. They asked all time if we are fine and if we needed anything else. They care for. We tried the food in Atlântico restaurant and it was the best food we have tasted. We are very looking forward to be welcome next summer in this hotel. Collapse

Starting with the staff, Trang, Beatriz, Andres and a superb tall bell man at check in whose name I failed to get. All epitomize the level of service without being obsequious. Ask for an ocean front room upgrade or better just book ocean front to start with. Phenomenal views across the ocean to the other side of the world with lovely roaring surf. Right at the train station and the sea side promenade making it oh so easy to stay outside the hustle and bustle of Lisbon, yet simple to catch a train that runs every 20 minutes into Lisbon Collapse

I am so grateful to this hotel, and this rave review is my way of thanking the hotel. If you stay here during low season, you will have found a gem in terms of quality and price. All rooms have ocean views. It's a relatively small hotel of 59 rooms, while the rest of the building is actually comprised of private apartments. Spectacular scenery, and every new guest can't resist taking a snapshot with his/her smartphone. Minimalist decor with romantic lighting. Food is expensive compared to other local eateries, but the food is generally good. I have stayed at this lovely hotel for over 3 months, as we waited for the construction of our home to be finished. Intercontinental Estoril was literally our home from home. They gave us a microwave to use, as we were long-term guests. They customized the rooms for us. They were always flexible, friendly, and helpful. If there was a problem, they would fix it immediately with a smile and sometimes give me a fruit plate to apologize for any inconvenience. We must have stayed in most rooms on the first and second floors by the end of our stay. By the end of our stay, we got to know the hotel staff very well and they are like old friends. The spa is wonderful with a warm indoor pool, saunas, etc, as as is the hair salon. They take the maintenance of the property very seriously. The garage and parking are also very well done. I'm so indebted to this hotel for making my move to Portugal warm and inviting. There were some tough times, while we were there, and the quality of this hotel helped me get through those tough times with more comfort than if we stayed somewhere else. Many hotels in the Cascais-Estoril area aren't very modern or equipped with the best amenities, but Intercontinental Estoril is world class in every way. It's also a really good deal to stay during low season. For the same quality and class, you'd probably have to pay many times the price in other major cities, but they also don't have the view of the Atlantic Ocean which I have never tired of. In terms of location, the Monte Estoril train station is right in front of the hotel, as is the beach promenade. It is a bit of a walk (1-2 km) to other restaurants and shops in Estoril and Cascais. Thank you to all the staff at Intercontinental Estoril. Collapse

I stayed one night in this wonderful property at the beginning of May and it was absolutely wonderful! After a very disappointing stay in InterContinental Lisbon the night before it was a nice contrast to be given genuine attention and help from all the staff in Estoril. Rodrigo greeted us at the door and escorted to Reception where a proffesional and smooth check in was provided by Carmen. Shortly after arrival Rodrigo surprised us with welcome drinks which was a wonderful start into the InterContinental Estoril experience. After check in procedure another Rodrigo escorted us to the room and offered a hotel orientation. He was very helpful with answering all questions we had and recommended us the hotels restaurant as choice for dinner. We in did went to eat at Atlantico in the evening and it was delicious! The room and view was really mindblowing, we absolutely loved it! Thanks to the dedicated and very knowledgeable concierge Nuno we were explained best choices for next days sightseeing. A professional and smooth check out was provided by Marta. All team is very well trained and puts a lot of effort to accommodate any requests. Special mention here to Thang at Reception that went out of her way for us every time and her genuine smile and positive attitude was really adorable. Over all it's a beautiful property with polite, happy and well trained staff and I really am looking forward to be returning soon! Thanks to everyone for an unforgettable experience! Collapse
