I am in Paris 5/6 times a year. It was the last night of what was 'Les Vacances' after some work the week before. I am known well at 'Le Grand' and 'Avenue Marceau' ( all three IHG) but I saw all these amazing reviews for the boutique IHG hotel, The Paris Indigo. Normally I would have called the Grand and said 'Elias is coming can I please my chambre de Preference' but....we decided to try this boutique hotel as we had stayed in 'The Indigo Glasgow' (the only luxury hotel in town) and was truly happily surprised. Still...at such a reasonable price in Paris....I was still a bit dubious. Alors...I had nothing to be wary of at all. First. The hotel is on one of my favorite passages in the 2eme arrondisement. La Passe Edouard VII. This charming hotel was in the passage which I already found as a plus. It had a beautiful outside facade and I saw from the outside that all was as should be. In short. This is a gem of an hotel and the rate certainly does not match the exemplary service and surroundings of which one is treated. A lovely little lobby with a trendy bar and tables for taking a drink or maybe ordering lunch from their restaurant menu. BTW...the breakfast surpassed many 5* hotels in France with local organic breads and jams as well as your choice of a delectable omelette or other breakfast dishes that were mouth watering. Add to that fresh OJ, the best yogurt ever(again...made in the neighborhood...try the banana) and pastries, meats, cheeses and breakfast breads, cakes and patisseries... that I was truly overwhelmed. The space was also calm and sunny and just....really nice. The room. I was upgraded to a superior because of my IHG status. A platter was waiting for me with chocolate strawberries, Brittany cookies and badoit. Also...everything in the mini-bar was part of the price of the room! The room was spacious and so cozy. We loved that the giant television could be swung around to face the sitting area or your bed! The room was as clean as can be and the modern decor with a warm feel (and those stunning hardwood floors) made the room an oasis of calm. Bathroom completely modern with amenities that again really impressed me. With all this going for the hotel...what put it over the top was the wonderful, friendly staff! I have to name the outstanding team that makes the hotel so so special, Avrelien (hope I spelled that correct), Nelson (who could speak fluent everything so my husband and Nelson engaged in a game of language wits...Nelson won.) such a great first impression of the hotel. Tessa, Jushn and Amara just rounded off the wonderful service and everyone really seemed to want to make sure you were happy and had all that you needed! Wow. I know some top 5* hotels in Paris that could take a lesson from this hotel and its staff. Suffice to say we were truly taken with this hotel and would happily stay again. Without doubt, one of the best hotels in Paris at this ridiculous low price! I hope the word doesn't get out! Je vous remercie pour un petit sejour excellent. Merveilleux. Atomique! Collapse

I staying two nights at this beautiful hotel. The reception staff is very helpful, polite and professional. It is nice to arrive there and being welcome in such a warm way by the hotel staff. My room was no.211. Absolutely stunning: nice view on the street, "theatre-classical dance" themed decoration and a beautiful bathroom. I love the room is provided with an iron and a board. The bed was extra comfy and TV selection excellent with lots of international channels. The road is a very nice pedestrian area just 2 minutes walk from Opéra metro and 5 min walk from Auber RER. The location is of "Paris de mes rêves". Amazing! The only thing I did not like was breakfast as selection is not wide and staff were a bit rude...I only had breakfast once. The second day I had breakfast elsewhere. If you visit Paris, this is the right hotel :-) Collapse

I had a disappointing experience the previous 3 nights so coming here was a true joy. The Hotel is located on a beautiful quiet cul de sac, right near the Opera Garnier. The location is wonderful. My room was beautiful, spacious with an incredible shower and massive bathroom. I had a separate living area with a couch and chair. The fitness center is adorable and well equipped. The service is impeccable. I hope to return in October! Collapse

Staff in the front desk is not very friendly. We checked in at 2:45 pm and he told us that we should check in only after 3:00 pm. However, we already saw that he let another couple check in before us. If you want to borrow an umbrella, hotel Indigo asks for 20 euro deposit. Never seen this in other hotels. Aside from these, location is good. Close to Lafayette and opera house. Price is okay. Collapse

Ideally situated close to the business district of opera and the main attractions in the area. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful throughout the stay. Nothing was too much trouble and always smiling which was much appreciated!
