My family and I had a one night layover in London before returning home after a trip to Europe. From check in to checkout the staff were terrific. It was one of the hottest days in London in history and we were thrilled to receive a below ground level room. The room is designed and decorated very well. It was very clean, hip, and had everything we needed. A free minibar is also most welcome!! A M&S Food Hall is right across the street as well. The Earl's Court tube stop is around the corner. When we called for things, we had a knock on the door in minutes. We didnt have much time to take advantage of things in the hotel but did have a wonderful meal around the block at a contemporary Indian restaurant called Flora Indica. The room itself was expensive, around 300 pounds. We knew that going in. Collapse

We arrived hours before check in time and were allowed to check in early. I was hoping and was planning on asking, but didn't even have to. It was offered since our room was ready. I was completely dead on my feet and couldn't believe my luck. The hotel itself is cute and trendy. We loved our room. Was a little hesitant since it was below ground. Don't worry if you are placed in the basement like we were. We still had windows and light. The location was quiet as well. Room came with a "handy" phone which was complimentary. Really came in handy and there was no need to purchase a sim card. It included unlimited calls and internet. The hotel has a perfect location, only two blocks from the tube that has direct access to the airport. There are tons of restaurants within walking distance as well. Highly recommend and will stay again! Collapse

My husband and I traveled from the U.S. and made this our home base for touring London using the Tube and Trains for 7 nights. The hotel is completely modernized and each room is decorated differently with neutrals and a bright accent color. We stayed in two different standard rooms. The standard size rooms are small compared to typical American hotel rooms. Luckily we only had carry-on bags which we could roll under the bed. There is only one armoire with limited hanging space and two drawers plus a drawer in each nightstand. I left most of my clothes in my suitcase which I kept under the bed. Note: It would have been hard to store large suitcases in their standard room. I suggest that large adults traveling with large bags upgrade to a larger room. Both our rooms were fully equipped with a comfortable queen bed, mini refrigerator, tea kettle (no microwave), hairdryer, two terrycloth robes, cable TV, soaps, lotion, shampoo, shower cap, etc. The rooms also have two USB ports to charge mobile devices without any adapter needed. However, we used an adapter so that we could plug in four devices into one USB port. The hotel also provides a special cell phone that allows you to navigate the city. This was incredibly useful as our U.S. cell phones would only work when connected to a WiFi network, this means your phone's navigation won't work when you are walking around the city. The hotel cell phone was essential to navigating to tourist sites and restaurants. If we hadn't had use of that hotel phone we would have purchased SIM cards that are sold at the airport. (Our Verizon international cell phone plan didn't work for data, so it was not useful.) The Hotel has a restaurant on the main level where they serve breakfast daily for an additional fee. You must tell the front desk that you would like to include the continental breakfast buffet "farm table" when you check-in. The buffet works out to about £10 a person. The buffet includes, coffee, tea, juices, fruit, cereals, milk, Greek yogurt, artisan breads, pastries, jam and toast spread. There was also a self service egg poacher. In addition to the buffet you could purchase a hot breakfast of eggs, bacon, pancakes, etc. for around £9. We were so full with just the buffet breakfast that we never ordered off the menu. There are restaurants close by if you prefer to eat elsewhere, but we just found it most convenient to eat breakfast at the hotel. During our stay we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and the staff went out of their way to do special things for us in our room including complementary desserts and red roses. We were surprised and delighted by their special touches. The hotel has access to a gym that is just a 2-min walk around the Complementary passes were available for hotel guests. We found that our feet were so tired from touring the city that we never tried the gym. Collapse

Let me start by saying that part of this stay was due to the British Airways fiasco. The staff of this hotel made it pleasant to have a delayed flight. I wish I had taken down the names but the two women who helped me at the check in desk were outstanding. The location is close to the Earl's Court tube station and you a quick ride to many attractions include the Royal Albert Hall. The service and cleanliness are commendable. It is off the tourist trail so you are in a real neighborhood. That being said, a good safe value for the price. Collapse

The staff was really good. Our room was very nice until we got home at night. There was no heat at a time there needed to be heat, and the people above us were jumping off the bed over and over again. (Assume their children.) The staff provided a heater and apologized for the people above us. The following day they moved us to a room on the top floor. The room we were in was 501 and it was amazing. Skylights and beautiful view. The location of the hotel was perfect. Lots of shops, Barclays Bank for cash, and Earle's court tube within walking distance. A fuller pub next door. We would stay here again. Highly recommend. Collapse
