Just returned from a short stay in one of their 2 bedroom apartments. It pleasingly had 2 bathrooms which for 4 adults was really useful. The place was clean and fairly well equipped. We had trouble getting in as the key didn’t work initially. The kitchenette has decent amount of utensils with the standard things. The decor was modern and pleasant and the apartment was fairly spacious. Mattresses are too firm and we ran out of hot water several times. Collapse

Stayed in the apartments, 10 minutes walk to main hotel. We were a golfing group of 12, occupying two apartments on two floors. Whilst apartment was functional with good air con, fridge, cooker the basic servicing I would have expected was conspicuous by its absence. Stayed 5 days. No linen or towel replacement during entire stay. Told we had to replace toilet rolls at our own expense. They wanted bins emptied before we left but agin no replacement bin liners and told we had to buy them if we needed them! Whilst pool area and gardens nicely presented surprised that only 14 beds in pool area to be used by 50 apartments! Security guard rather jobsworth. Made us leave pool area as we had left wrist bands in apartment. Took breakfast in pro shop area. Nothing special. Had to wait for items to be replaced on numerous occasions. Ran out of plates early on one morning. Staff very pleasant though. Played the resort golf course on one day.Nice layout but greens quality very poor. Not cut over the weekend at all so very slow and bumpy. Green side bunkers very poor. Not raked, mud not sand and very compacted. When we went early September the night life was very limited and resort seemed to close up at midnight. If you are on tour this is not the place to go. Whilst a modern, clean and functional resort it has no character about it and offers much less to golfing groups than we have experienced in other parts of Spain and The Algarve. I'm sure it offers more to couples staying in hotel itself who are looking for a poolside holiday it's location does not lend itself to anything else. Collapse

We stayed at the hotel as part of a large wedding party - 100 +. Some guests were in the hotel and others were in the apartments. Our apartment was about a 10 min walk from the hotel, and wasn't very well sign posted, resulting in us walking to the other side of the site on the 1st day. Our apartment was ok, spacious for 4 of us. The staff in the hotel - I don't really know what to say other than extremely rude! I have never been to a hotel where the staff were so blatantly rude and not welcoming to certain guests. If we weren't there as part of a large group of guests for our friends wedding, we would have made a much bigger complaint, but we did not want to cause any scenes for our friends who were getting married. We would not return here due to the appalling service and rudeness of the staff. Collapse

Upon driving up to the resort, we were pleasantly surprised. The houses and apartments in the resort looked well kept and all the areas were immaculate. We had a first class welcome by the reception staff and a great bonus for us was our apartment was ready even though it was early in the day. The apartments were clean well equipped and just what we needed for a family. If I were to make any negatives I would say the bathroom could do with a little update but as I say I am being picky. There is a reasonably priced supermarket on site where you can get the basics. It's great to have the facilities of the hotel, you just can't use the pool or spa unless you purchase a day pass, but you may still use the bars and restaurants which is handy if you don't want to drive out. I was a little disappointed with the steak restaurant. The food didn't seem to fit in with the 5* surroundings. The pools are nice and clean. All I will say is there needs to be more sun beds and parasols. There seems to be the age old problem of people reserving them. The lifeguards are a great addition and are very attentive and do a great job. To make the most of the area, car hire is recommended as there are some lovely beaches in the area. All in all a lovely resort with friendly staff, good facilities and I wouldn't hesitate in coming back. Collapse

First of all I have to say that the initial welcome from reception staff was excellent - greeted by Pablo before we had even set down our luggage he checked us in efficiently even though we were very early & our room wasn`t ready. Both he and Fabrizio tried hard to get our room made up as a priority which they achieved an hour ahead of time. We have been accustomed to timeshare in Madeira so it came as a bit of a shock that we could not use the hotel pool area (although they didn`t seem to mind us spending money in the restaurants & bars !!) and that there were no pool towels, maid service etc. In addition the apartment lift broke down several times which makes life difficult with a toddler. I can sort of understand that hotel guests should have priority but if there are no other sunbeds or parasols around the apartment pools, which there often weren`t - surely a reasonable request to take up unused amenities could be allowed even if you are asked to leave should they become needed. Juan on reception was also very good at helping with taxis etc - we chose taxis to and from Los Alcazares instead of hiring a car, which worked well (around 30 euros return). Around 50 euros return trip from San Javier airport to the resort. Generally a very nice place to spend a few days plenty of amenities and the hotel pool area very pretty at night. Apartments are fine, we had a two-bed which had plenty of room plus a large balcony, air-con worked fine for us if we left it on all day - Wi-Fi also ok even around the pool, although I do come from digitally depressed Derbyshire !! We love Alcazares and so we were happy sharing our time between there and the resort - plenty of beach-bars and restaurants - stand out eateries this time were Angela`s, Run Asian & La Encarnacion (who have a 5-7 Happy Hour which is fabulous value). We would have no problem returning to this resort but I feel more could be done to assist at times. Collapse
