Look you get what you pay for, this is not a top hotel and never will be. We was only staying on night as we was in Dublin to see U2 We arrived early and the lady on reception was very polite she asked if we would like our room then which we did as we wanted to freshen up to go into the city. She said an early checking was normally €25 but she would let us have it free. The room was very plan yet was clean and as we would not be in it long this didn't matter. Our only complaint we have was regarding the breakfast, on all the advertising it tells you the breakfast was until midday. So we planed to get up at 10.30am shower and go down at 11.00am which we did. To our surprise and meany others staying in the hotel with the same idea as us. The breakfast was all being put away, we spoke to all the staff and reception they said no 11.00 am is finish. We asked for the manager who did speak to us and said that they could put something together for us, I asked for a bacon sandwich which came out as two slices of bread cold leftover bacon. Very disappointing as we had paid In advance. This did not sit well with us no offer to give us our money back. Would I stay there again NO would I recommend it to others yes, it was to far away from the center for me this is the reason I would not stay again and nothing to do with the problem at breakfast. Trams into the city are easy to get and only a short walk over the bridge. I just can't do with trams late at night. Collapse

I have never been so insulted in my life to be called a liar by a member of staff when I was complaining about an issue I had,,the issue was that my door was getting banged on at 9 am and then a cleaner let herself in as myself and my partner were still in bed,,,she left immediately and apologised but it was not good to say the least so when I was checking out I complained at reception and the lady said that nobody from her staff had done this and maybe that I hadn't locked the door properly,,,I really would not recommend this place to anybody Collapse

Got no explenations as why she left us outside waiting for so long. Shortly afterwards our friend went for a smoke and the samet hing happend again. She was nothing but rude and cranky with us for the whole weekend. We would recommend this hotel over all, but this was our mindchanger regarding for the bookings. Collapse

Major Con- The rudest manager I have ever come across in my life! (I travel very often & have never left a bad review until today) Upon arriving at the hotel with 3 friends we checking in. We had booked a twin room and had specified we wanted 2 rooms with 2 single beds in each (90 x 130cm to be exact!) When we went to our rooms they were double rooms. We immediately returned to reception to have this simply rectified. The TRAINEE member of staff couldnt have been nicer. He apologised and commenced looking for a room on the system. I could see the lobby was getting busy with customers waiting to check in so offered that we would sit down while he could attend to other customers. We wernt in any rush. After about 10 minutes the lobby had nearly cleared so I made my way to the reception counter to wait to speak to the friendly trainee. Another female staff called me to go to her. I explained that the trainee had already began to sort out the mistake which had been made in our booking. She seems slightly stand offish and said the best she could do was offer us a room with a bed and a pull out bed. I refused. I had booked the accommodation 9 months previous and had my booking printed which had specified what rooms we would like. At this point another male member of staff approached. I could immediately tell he was going to be of no assistance at all. He was very rude and insinuated that it was my own fault for booking with booking.com. I pointed out that if they did not want to be affiliated with booking.com they should remove themselves from the site. He continually said that he couldnt understand why I couldnt understand what he was saying and that a twin room was a room with a pull out bed. Having paid €199 for the room for the night (not including breakfast) & booked 9 months previous that I wasnt willing to sleep on a pull out bed. I was so appalled at this member of staffs behaviour that I was going to speak to a manager (I have never requested to speak to a manager in any other hotel I have stayed in and I travel very often for both business and leisure) when it dawned on me that he wasnt wearing a uniform and so could actually be the manager. I questioned if he was a manager to which he replied yes! Sergio was the operational manager of the Ibis. I honestly could not believe it. The trainee at the desk on the day would best fit the managerial position. Basic manners does not cost a penny. At this point I decided my best option was to fetch the print out of my booking which stated "2 twin rooms with single beds 90 x 130cm". When I returned (1 minutes from when I left) the trainee approached me with two key cards. He began to apologise and said what had happened was his fault and he had already began working on fixing the mistake. This was not his fault at all. From the moment we entered he could not have been any more mannerly and helpful. From the one minute that I went to fetch my booking the hotel went from having "absolutely no other twin room available with single beds" to having two. The above confrontation (there is no other word to describe what happened and the hostility of the operations manager Sergio) needent have happened. The hotel was convenient, clean and with very comfortable beds. A pity that the manager at front of house lacks basic manners. Collapse
