Visited as a part of a National Holidays coach trip. Hotel was well prepared to accommodate 2 lots of coach parties as well as regular guests. On arrival keys were ready and the room prepared to a high standard. Very comfortable beds and a spacious room. We were all booked in for dinner at 6.30 and arrived at dining room to find seating then go for a buffet style 3 course hot meal, with two choices on every course. Food was plentiful and tasty. The staff on duty were very attentive, clearing plates promptly. The next coach party was booked in after us and the dining room was quickly rearranged to accommodate them. Breakfast was again very fresh and well cooked. Our first time at a Holiday Inn but based on this experience would look at booking for ourselves travelling as a couple. Collapse

Stayed for one night as part of the National Holidays Elvis show in Liverpool, Hotel is ok just off the motorway, check in easy, Room 201 ok, very clean bed and linen clean. Bathroom also very clean, shower good and modern, toilet seat slightly loose towels nice and fluffy and slept well. However, the meal at dinner was very bad, Starter was leek and potato soup or melon, but it was the main that was the problem, beef stew, boiled hard potatoes, carrots, or fish cakes that smelt strong, or pasta bake as I don't like beef and couldn't have fish cake, I had pasta bake, this was very poor, lots of veg and pasta but no flavor and small amount of cheese on top. The pudding was rhubarb crumble and custard, that was delicious and that was my meal for the day as we had to rush from dinner at 4.30 to the theatre and didn't get back until 11pm. Next day the breakfast was very nice no problems there. The problem seems to be the amount of money National pay the hotels for the evening meal, as it couldn't have cost no more than £1 each to provide it. Also it seemed that often the food provided is aimed at the elderly who they think cant chew their food and like old fashioned food. Ok there were a majority of elderly on the tour but I think that there are too many assumptions and stereotypes that need to be overcome. Come on National give us a better experience at hotels in this country, we don't get that in Italy. Collapse

Stayed here over night with a national holiday weekend trip, we were only expecting a mediocre hotel for what we paid and were so pleasantly surprised by this fantastic hotel. The warm welcome from the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms (they were huge, 2 double beds!!) the layout and the restaurant were all great. We had a quality set menu in the evening and breakfast was excellent, a special mention for Doreen who could not do enough for our party, a truly lovely lady. Thank you for a wonderful stay Collapse

I had a bad experience with the food in this particular holiday inn as there wasn’t much in stock and what I ordered was slightly disappointing. However I must say the young man, Tim and the young lady, Chloe were extremely polite And friendly. On my entrance the young lady seemed very shy however changed my opinion with her great sense of humour. She seemed to apologise for what was the chefs fault a lot which was something I particularly noticed however made my meal worth the time. The young man knew everything I asked him about the bar as I was unsure of the wine I wanted and the one he recommended was perfect for my food. This service persusaded me to come to breakfast in the morning where I met doreen, this lady was pleasant however in the nicest way possible was painfully obviously stressed over what was a quiet morning. I was also surprised to see the young lady from the evening before who remembered my name and my coffee preference spot on. I would 100% recommend and stay here again Collapse
