The Hotel room was very good and comfortable, dining room was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and ready to help us. It was very easy to get to the 02 from Stratford, for the Robbie Williams Concert on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th we spent in and around London. We would like to say whilst at the Concert we were well looked after by Maisie and her Mum Jackie, Maisie was very helpful and friendly and did a good job,. We were pleased to see them again after April at the O2 - Gary Barlow concert. Collapse

I use this hotel a lot it is my hotel of choice when working in London. It is with great sadness that I write this review in a negative way. The food has become almost in edible, very dry over and over cooked. I am also sad that they no longer serve any type of draft bitter, it would seem that their choice of drinks is completed by profit and not customer option. I will leave on a positive note, the staff are outstanding and accommodation top notch. Please stop going cheap. Collapse

I have never left a bad review before, but after the disaster that was my lunch yesterday I feel I need to share the experience. I hope the management takes action and trains their staff properly as the level of service was completely unacceptable. I went for lunch yesterday with my mom and my friend who came to London to visit us. All the restaurants in the area were very busy, so we were very pleased to find that we could have lunch here without a queue. When we walked in we noticed that the restaurant wasn't full, but after waiting 15 minutes for someone to come and give us the menus we had to go and get a waiter. Still, nobody came. Another few minutes went by, again tried to get someone to come, and nothing. After half an hour sitting there I had to go for the third time to get someone's attention. I finally got a waitress to come and get our orders, but that task proved to be difficult as she wasn't familiar with the menu because (in her own words) it was her first day. The menu is not large or complicated, and getting an order shouldn't require the customer pointing at each dish and repeating three times what they want. After 10/15 minutes the same waitress comes back with two drinks, having forgotten the lemonade for my friend. By that time we had realised that other tables were facing the same issues, with drink orders taking as long as 45 minutes to come. When she finally came with the food (about an hour late) she brought the wrong dishes to the table. This was the same person I had to stand by and point the order to, so how she got that wrong is really surprising. Another half an hour went by, by this time I managed to get hold of one of the managers who didn't have the skills to deal with the situation, but promised we would get a discount and came with our food about 15 minutes after. Food was ok, but waiting over an hour for a steak sandwich, a chicken sandwich and fried squid is ridiculous, specially when the restaurant was half empty. After eating, one of the waitresses came with our bill, as they had to close the till, but no discount was applied. I had to get the manager again, who delivered the right bill and apologised again. We paid the bill to the waitress and left. This was already a disastrous experience, but what made it even worse was the fact that when we were leaving the restaurant this same manager comes by and asks me if I had paid, to which I replied I had, and said if he wanted to see the receipt. He actually asked me to do so!!!!! So I had to show him the receipt in front of the whole restaurant because a few other customers had left without paying. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. If you want to check if a table has paid you can do that in the system, or ask the waitress, but you should never ever ask a customer to prove that they paid the bill!!!! I left the restaurant fuming, and was met by a very nervous and poorly trained person at the front desk who tried to justify what had just happened. He dismissed the receptionists who clearly understood how bad the situation was, and was shaking and trembling all the time. It wasn't until the events coordinator came by that I finally got a decent response to the situation, she seems to be the only well trained person in that whole restaurant who can deal with a disastrous situation. Please please train your staff properly, everything that could have gone wrong in a service did go wrong and people seemed to be lost and not knowing how to deal with the situation. I understand it was busier than usual because of the Athletics Championship, but this should not be an excuse for anything. If the restaurant is busy and there are delays on food, have someone come to the table and apologise. Also you should have assigned staff for each area, rather than having people running all over the place. It's wrong to ask a waiter for a drink and having him reply that this is not his section, rather than saying he will get someone to get our order. And asking a customer to prove that they paid the bill.... Well, that is unacceptable. I really hope you take this into consideration and improve the service, as I could see staff were struggling to cope with the situation. Collapse

Great location for Queen Elizabeth Park

Excellent staff make this hotel stand out, it couldn't be more convenient for Queen Elizabeth Park. Breakfast is always good. Only downside is that there is no car parking next to hotel but easy access to Westfield car park is nearby (at a charge).
