Second visit here and it was just as positive as the first. Excellent welcome as always, all the staff are very good and always offer help if needed. Location is great just 100 meters from the tube station with access directly to central London only 15 minutes away. Room spotless but a little snug, however, more than adequate for a short stay. Breakfast very good with both hot and cold options. Paid parking on site. All together a very good experience, thanks to all the staff who made us so welcome. Will return. Collapse

We chose this for a family trip to London and it was one of the best value options. Located on Finchley road very close to underground so it's a few minutes to central London and all the sights. A convenient mall opposite the road with restaurants and a Sainsbury's, plus Waitrose nearby. Friendly service and a very nice breakfast included. Standard room is not large so would only recommend for small children, 4 adults would struggle and the sofa bed is not great. We were happy with everything except that 1 lift was not operating and it could take ages to get about- ok as we used the stairs and kept fit but a problem for the less mobile. A bit picky with just 4 stars due to the lift and sofa bed. Overall I would recommend and would stay again if a family room was available. Collapse
A very positive experience, great value. Will visit again, and would recommend to friends and family.

Very quiet hotel with friendly staff, good service and OK free breakfast at a decent cost. Close to amenities, bus and underground, few minutes from Oxford Street. Friendly and helpful staff. Only let down by not so good free Wi-Fi and somewhat thin matrasses. We recently had a 6 day stay in London, 2 adults and one teenager, and stayed in a family room at the Holiday Inn Express Swiss Cottage. My expectations were not great; the room was reasonably priced and the hotel looked to be a little too far from central London for my taste. However, we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the closest underground was only 150 meters away, with 2 lines (Jubilee and Metropolitan if I remember correctly), one of which connects to Liverpool Street station, so the center of London was literally minutes away. Several bus lines stops right outside the hotel, and the O2 Centre across the road holds a cinema, lots of places to eat and a Sainsbury’s. There were also lots of other restaurants nearby. The room was not big, but we had room for ourselves and our suitcases without any problem. We had requested a quiet room, and got a room on the 5th floor facing the rear of the hotel. We never heard any traffic at all. The room was also very clean, but was starting to show it’s been a while since last renovation. The carpet looked tired and the bathroom had the odd cracked tile etc., though nothing that bothered us, no funny smells or anything. The two things that let this hotel down slightly is the free wifi and the matrasses. The wifi was so slow as to be close to unusable (though we only tested it on IPads and IPhones – in my experience using a PC or Mac sometimes yields higher speeds for some reason). We barely managed to order pizza at Domino’s, and watching Netflix was impossible. I also feel the hotel should have spent an extra few quid on the matrasses, as they were a little too thin for my tastes. However, we slept well, so it was not a huge issue. Breakfast was good but not great, it had the essentials along with bacon and eggs, sausages, muffins and (amazingly) gluten-free bread and cereal. All in all a positive experience, and very good value for our money. Collapse

Stayed for 3 nights Tues-Fri for some London time. Perfect location just 2 minutes from Finchley Rd Tube station on Jubilee line. We walked 3 suitcases to hotel, no problem. Easy links direct to Green Park (Buckingham Palace) and Westminster with no switching trains. O2 shopping centre opposite, a little limited but had restaurants and a convenient Sainsburys for snacks etc. Hotel clean and much the same as you would expect from this chain. Room tidy and clean although a little small for 4 of us with the sofa bed open. Not much storage space but we were only there 3 nights. Little bit of outside noise but this is London! Great inclusive breakfast, bacon , sausage, egg etc together with a usual toast, cereal selection. Had a meal from bar area one night which was cooked fresh by Isabell. She was fantastic and the food delicious. Would we stay here again-yes. Collapse
