We stayed here overnight ahead of an early flight. Our welcome was a little brusque until our IHG membership was noted when it became excellent. The room was good, quiet, with a very comfortable bed. There was no air con, but a fan was provided which was fine but wouldn’t be in summer. As we left early, breakfast was continental, albeit no take away coffee cups were available. Collapse

As with most people, stayed here for 1 night before an early flight. Check in was quick, but do feel that the £8 charge to park your car is a bit much, given the price of the room (especially as this was listed as £5 at the time of booking). Getting to the room was easy enough after contending with the lifts. The room itself was clean and comfortable. My only problem here was the shower... the enclosure didn’t close particularly well, leading to a flood on the bathroom floor. The shower itself was hot and powerful enough. Having an early flight and a lounge booking, we were up too early for breakfast. Getting to the airport - especially terminal 2 is a breeze from here. Literally 3 minutes drive from this hotel to the T2 multi story. Would use again if flying early from Manchester. Collapse

Large modern hotel. Room 108 on the first floor, over looking the carpark. Pleasant room. Smart, clean decor with twin beds. One mattress was too soft for me, but the other firmer. Also 2 pillows, one soft the other firmer. Bed side units with lamps plus light switches. A unit on main wall with small hanging area, 6 hangers. Deep shelves. Hand hair drier. Suitcase stand. Long, fitted desk unit on same main wall, opposite beds, with tea and coffee making facilities. 3 plug sockets. Telephone but No USB sockets, but we had our own adapter. Flatscreen TV. Free WiFi with a good signal. Booked as IHG member. Comfortable office chair plus upholstered corner seat. The on suite, was modern, spotlessly clean with a large walk in shower tiled in black, with hand rail and door in the middle and Hair/body wash in easy reach of the shower. A wash-hand basin with liquid hand soap and loo. No air conditioning, but an opening window, plus a large free standing fan in the window corner of the room. A useful radiator on which you can alter the temperature. Good if you need to dry small’s. Restaurant on ground floor. Large room, clean, tidy, functional, but not particularly inspiring, partly over looking a wild area of embankment with trees. Spotted 2 large black rabbits running around for a few minutes, adding a bit of interest and comment. Pity about the litter within the wild area. Menu typical of chain. Different Burgers from around £11 to £12 served with chips, coleslaw and salad garnish. 3 different curries at £13 to £14. Other popular main courses including vegetarian chilli and vege lasagna, pizza, salad, cod from approx £9 to £13. There was 4 deserts from ice cream at £4 to Chocolate Brownie ice cream sundae at £5.95. We had the beer battered cod, chips and mushy peas (£13 each) they looked nice, but my fish was very undercooked, so I had to send it back. The staff were OK about it and offered me a drink while I waited. I had a mug of tea as I was feeling cold. I got a replacement fish and chips after about 10 mins. Unfortunately my husband had almost finished his by this time. The fish was cooked OK this time, but rather tasteless. I must remember not to have the fish next time. We didn’t have desserts, but finished off with latte’s which were enjoyable and cost £2 each which I thought was very reasonable. The Staff were very helpful when we ask if we could take the remaining milk that came with my mug of tea, to our room, and she kindly topped the milk jug up for us. I like my tea/coffee milky, so the 4 very small UHT samples provided, aren’t adequate. We have stayed here before as it’s handy for T3 to get down to Heathrow. Collapse

We stayed here for one night as we had an early flight at the airport the next morning. Super fast check in, friendly guy at reception and the beds and pillows were so comfy. The shower was good and a good size TV. We didn’t have breakfast in the morning though as took something to eat in the room (felt we didn’t want to rush) but we ate a meal in the restaurant the evening before. Maybe a better selection of meals could be good but other than that we had a lovely and great sleep! Quick check out too. Will stay here again if need be for the airport! Collapse
