Be very careful when booking online or they will take your money.

Put Dates in for two nights on website and Price came up of around £70 so I gave my card details. £140 got taken from my account as I didn't see the little writing underneath saying per night. The booking for my stay is over 40 days away. I would of thought when you enter the dates of your stay the price of the stay would show up or put "per night" in bigger writing not small font underneath. Talked to the manager (Lee at Burnley) who wasn't understandable about the mistake and how unclear the booking procedure was and as it was non refundable would not give me even a little refund or a full refund when I asked for the money back as he kept stating it was a non-refundable booking. Fair enough I should of seen the small print but it is deceiving and as I had given over 40 days notice I thought they would be a little understanding and help a customer out but once they get your money they seem to not care. The manager on the phone was adamant not to understand a mistake caused by an unclear layout on their webpage. If I was clear of the price I would of called them or waited for the price to drop as the prices change all the time. My mother and sister have got 2 rooms there for much cheaper which I may possibly cancel as this is refundable and put her somewhere with better spirit. I have had family stay there before and to be fair the Hotel is very basic, clean and tidy but the rude phone call and the way I have been treated I would prefer to take my business elsewhere, wherevstaff especially management can be more amicable. Stayed here for 4 nights when visiting relatives in Burnley, and normally stay elsewhere. Check in process was straightforward, and staff very welcoming. Room was facing car park on top floor which we preferred and whilst was basic was adequate for our needs. Extra pillows had kindly been provided as requested and cleaned well during our stay. Wifi worked fine, but air con and heating system wasn't and was being looked at. In the end it couldn't be fixed and we were offered different room on a lower floor. We decided to stay put, and perhaps regretted that as was quite warm in the room during the night, and opening window meant people coming and going could be heard into the early hours. Our fault for not moving as offered. Breakfast was a bit manic as we seemed to pick peak time, but food was fine and tasty, albeit providing only small plates seems a touch ridiculous. We also had an evening meal here and that was good too, as was the service. Was a touch dubious having to give both my room number and surname when ordering, given heard by other guests. Hotel during our stay was quite busy. We were unlucky to have a totally disrespectful person/people in the next room for one night only, which affected the rating for our stay, was not in keeping with what we expected, but this was an isolated event during our entire stay. Staff were responsive to this and actually during the stay I could not fault the service or consideration they provided. We will probably stay again when we next visit Burnley as it suited our needs overall and was comfortable and clean. Collapse

We stayed at the Holiday Inn, Express in Burnley on Saturday evening to attend a function at a different venue. The hotel is really well located just off the M66 and is a modern up to date hotel. The car park had plenty of space on arrival and the reception team were both professional and friendly, they made us feel very welcome. The check in process was quick and easy, we were in our lovely double bedroom complete with a sofa in no time at all. The room had all the facilities that you would expect and was up to date and comfortable with a good bed and TV. The room and the bathroom were exceptionally clean and my wife and I both got a good nights sleep. In the morning we thought that we would get a continental breakfast and we're pleased to find that there was a buffet which included a full English. The Wifi was free and worked well and checking out was just as easy as checking in. A very comfortable and well located friendly hotel, if we are ever in the area again we will be back! Collapse
