I'd stay here again. As a business traveler, what's important to me are the things that will help me get my mission accomplished. After a flight and the taxi from O'Hare, I was ready to get off my feet. Check in was swift but there was a short wait for my room to be ready. No big deal. Once I got in my room and in my suitcase, I dropped off my work shirts to be laundered and pressed. They were done and waiting for me a day later so I didn't have to fuss with an iron to look sharp. I need a good night's sleep: my room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. There were an assortment of pillows to choose from, each pillowcase embroidered with "soft," "firm." Nice touch! I also need a good (big) breakfast to get me through my demanding day. Breakfast was great - I loved all the fresh fruit, bananas, oatmeal - healthy options are precious. Decadent comfort items like biscuits and gravy were on point! And bagels and lox felt luxurious. Breakfast service was quick, capable and friendly. I have to be a little critical to make it a good review: switching elevators was a little inconvenient - however, the view from my room on the 19th floor was amazing. (Room 1908 was situated with a view of the river and the beautiful buildings around the hotel) I wasn't thrilled about the salad I got in their restaurant (overdressed and not super fresh) and the bar closes early - so our staff dined out most nights. The rooms are smaller than in newly-built hotels, but everything was up to date and stylish. I like having a bit more of a closet in a hotel room, but I was still able to hang much of my clothes. Bellman were helpful with transportation and directions. Friendly and often funny, too. The convenience store in the lobby was handy - perfect for when you just need to grab something in a hurry. The pool looked beautiful, but I didn't have time to use it. I'll stay here again. Collapse

Visited with our group of 8 ladies for an Amtrak vacation to the Windy City. Somehow through working directly with Amtrak, our need for an accessible room was overlooked when our trip was booked. We were dismayed when we arrived to find rooms reserved but none accessible. This was a big deal as one of our ladies had to have an accessible room. Initially we took our dismay out on the staff, but later learned the accessible room had only been requested and not guaranteed. Despite this, the front desk Assistant Mgr., Karoline and her staff, especially Jay worked for hours trying to accommodate us. No other downtown rooms were available so Karoline arranged at no cost to us for DME equipment to be delivered to allow us to stay. For the second and third night of our trip, Karoline worked with other guests to allow an accessible room to open up for us. Talk about service!!!!!! The rooms were clean and very comfortable and so quiet too. Although we didn't eat in their cafe, the adjacent plaza had a food court that was perfect for our breakfast needs. This hotel is close to all the major attractions and the bus to make our stay just wonderful. We also enjoyed Terry, the concierge who answered so many questions, supplied maps and made reservations for us. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Please consider this facility on your next visit to Chicago Collapse

Good hotel and location. A few bugs needed worked out but all in all a good experience. I took the blue line train from O'hare. It only cost $5 it took 45min to get to the loup but a cool train experience. You get off st the loup and walk 2 blocks to hotel. You take the evelator up to 15 floor. That is the hotel lobby. Check in and getting to room went as normal as can be. It was late and I walked 4 blks to Lou Malnatis chicago style deep dish pizza. Loved it. I got back to hotel with leftovers and realized I had no fridge in room which, I was told all rooms had a fridge. I was to tired to go back down and ask about it. The next morning I went to conference. I returned and immediately left for dinner. On the way out I talk to James at the front desk about no fridge. He was concerned and immediately called and asked for a fridge. He reacted so fast it almost seemed as if he was messing with me to tell me what I wanted to hear. I walked 5 blks to Al's (Phillys) great place. When I got back to room a fridge was there, plugged in and cold. Pool, sauna, and gym were all good. Could have used a hot tub because the NRA conference was so big I ligit walked avout 15 miles a day. This hotel is walking distance from alot of chicago staples. The train loup is 2 blocks aeay and you can access all train/bus lines. Collapse
