Holiday Inn Cardiff City Centre
Description
A central location overlooking Cardiff Castle, Bute Park and the Millennium Stadium is within easy walking distance of excellent shops and fine Edwardian arcades. Enjoy a visit to Techniquest, a science centre that's hi-tech and hands-on and then take the time to wander around Cardiff's Inner Harbour and Docks, a fine example of inner city redevelopment.

Very good value

The hotel is located in a good location and represents good value. My room was very clean but was a little dated.. All the staff I met were friendly and very helpful. There was a good selection of food for breakfast.

As usual, staff made me welcome and check in and check out were efficient. Breakfast was better than it had been on previous couple of visits and coffee machine was more co-operative, giving me coffee I had ordered. Room was clean but, rather disappointing in being much smaller than ones I have been allocated in the past! Collapse

Very pleasant 5 night stay in this centrally located Cardiff hotel with views of the castle. Short walk away from main shopping areas, restaurants, bars, tourist attractions and the university. Staff very helpful and friendly - particularly Loretta working at the breakfast buffet who went out of her way to make every visitor feel special! Whilst the property is showing some signs of age, I stayed in an executive room on 6th floor which appeared to have been recently re-decorated with modern touches like a Bluetooth speaker. Free WiFi with reasonable speeds. Car parking at the back of the hotel (with number plate recognition, so you need to register on check-in). My room package included daily breakfast, which had a good selection of hot and cold options for a hotel of this category. My IHG platinum status was recognised at check-in with a few perks. Overall, hotel exceeded my expectations and I would gladly return if ever back in Cardiff for business. Collapse

The people make this Hotel, also the location and proximity to Principality Stadium which was the reason I visited Cardiff and stayed here. The stadium is 3 minutes walk from the Hotel, so convenient. The city also is a short stroll away and Cardiff Castle is across the road. The staff at the front desk, restaurant and bar were excellent too. The food was good too. Collapse
