We were really happy with the hotel! The hotel is a few hundred meters from Alexanderplatz, which is a great area for shopping, eating and drinking. The public transportation is easy to find and you easily can take you to the most places from Alexanderplatz. Bus going to Tegel airport too! Nice, clean room with basics. The bed was a bit hard, in my world perfect! A bit small room so if not for couple/good friends it might feel a bit awkward. The door to the toilet made by glas, no lock etc. 1 soap/shampoo in the toilet and that is all. We chose to eat breakfast out, because of the great breakfast culture in Berlin. Recommended! And rent the bikes, Donkey Republic was working perfectly! Collapse

I have to say I was a little disappointing with my stay here. I was staying in Berlin for 3 nights with my 9 year old son so was looking for a reliable brand with a good location. I upgraded to an Executive room but this is still small in my world. If you are use to the hotels with larger rooms in the UK then this will shock you. I understand that this is a city hotel. And they are nearly all the same size rooms no matter which chain you stay with.I suppose I was expecting a little more class for a City like Berlin. Everything was functional. Requested high floor with view when booking and they gave me it. Mini fridge in room and Tassimo coffee machine. But several other inconsistency's. No water the first night nor chocolates. But they turned up the second night. Room was clean but not spotless. I did raise with the front desk and within 10 minutes the housekeeping manager came to see what the problems were. She was very professional and apologised for the standard and would rectify to which it was the following night. I suppose what I'm saying is that this felt more of a business than leisure hotel. It was still of a good standard and the staff were all professional however with a young child with me I probably would look else where to stay if I visit Berlin again. That's no reflection on the hotel itself but just my personal choice. Collapse

Really good stay at this hotel, certainly not a complaint review. Only isn't a 5 star due to tiny issues but on the whole was ideal. Easy to find, great location - heart of Alexanderplatz. 3 minute walk from the square and train station. Train and Tram lines within 2/3 minutes of hotel and easy to use. Open top bus tour (would recommend) also on the doorstop. Plenty of bars/pubs/pop up German bars & restaurants, shopping centre's, restaurants nearby. TV tower is only a couple of minutes away too. We had great interaction with the hotel via email to confirm payment and the 2 different rooms requirements prior to arriving. Price was ideal too, we went Mon - Fri and worked out around £30 per night (per person) and the city tax only 11 euro per room. Only slight things to note were the air-con being disabled due to it being winter but the rooms were very warm, caused a couple of restless nights as with the window open it could be a bit loud (near a road and tram line) but this was only a minor issue. The double bed was 2 singles next to each other but this isn't something that bothered me/my girlfriend but I can appreciate this doesn't suit everyone. We still slept well on the whole. The bathroom door is a sliding frosted glass door so privacy not ideal but again, depends on couples preference as to whether this is alright for you or not but we were alright! Room was cleaned every day, new towels & tea - no complaints. Safe in room, enough space to store clothes for the few days we were there, room size is as expected, not tiny, not huge - did the job really well. As we wanted a busy few days we weren't in the hotel a great amount - didn't do food or drink in the hotel so can't comment on that but breakfast was an option for a fairly reasonable price in a major city. We enjoyed the train ride from Schonefeld to the hotel and our overall experience was brilliant, would definitely head back to Berlin and would have no issues staying in this hotel again :) Collapse

I stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights on a business trip. The location is alright but you have a good 7minutes walk to Alexander Plaza rail station and shops. The hotel was around £75/night and it is fine for that price. Breakfast was nothing special and sort of average. I wouldn't really recommend this hotel for tourists or family type of visitors as it is some walking distance to attractions and there are more suitable hotels nearby. Collapse
