This was our 4th summer visit with our three children and it was as lovely as ever. We were welcomed by very friendly staff who recognised us from previous stays. Service and staff were lovely. Rooms cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels. Great selection of breakfast items every day. Pool was a little crowded at certain times of the day but wasn't all the time. Great shuttle service to and from the marina each day and night. We will definitely return again. Collapse

We spent a week here in early July. Check-in was really easy and fast. Got into our room 3030 early. The room was fine, beds were hard but that really suits me. Loads of storage, good bathroom with huge bath and really good shower. The view was of the road and over one of the restaurants which was fine. There was a wedding reception in there one night which was loud but not a problem. We did have an issue with the air conditioning and after advising reception twice it was sorted out. The range of TV channels is brilliant, but the TV did go off intermittently. We take breakfast early so never had to queue, it was very good with lots of choice. We did have dinner one night but didn't think it was that good. The pool area are good, we used the top pool a couple of times and never had a sunbed problem. The pool attendants do put tickets on towels to advise of time but this didn't seem to happen till 9. They did say they will remove towels from saved beds. We did eat lunch at the pool which was fine. The coach facility to the beach is great. We went every day and although it's busy, it's really nice. The beach bar is lovely. It's about a 20 minute walk to harbour but we did use the coach as it is so easy and comes every 30 minutes, this is a great service. I found out there is a shop about 10 mins from hotel but didn't see it. Bottles of water in hotel are expensive but that's to be expected. Booked a treatment at the spa, when I checked the hotel bill the offer hadn't been taken off, but the reception staff sorted out very quickly. The spa is really nice. I would probably return. This hotel is generally very nice and I would have absolutely given it top marks but a couple of small details really let it down. Firstly, the number of sun loungers and their availability is a total nightmare. Despite the fact that the hotel's pool space is quite large, there never seem to be enough sun loungers for all guests to find a place by the pool. Many guests resort to getting up very early (some as early as 6:30- 7 am!) in order to secure their sun loungers and the space by the pools. They then proceed on to leisurely having their breakfast before returning to their secured space by the pool. Therefore, those, who enjoyed their sleep and had breakfast any later than 7:30 - 8 am, have next to no chance of securing their sun loungers by the pool. Some of those super proactive guests disappear somewhere until 10-11 am while sun loungers stay unused with their things on them. Broadly the same scenario takes place at lunch time when guests leave their towels on their sun loungers, so that nobody takes their place! To be fair this is a common occurrence during peak holiday season in many European hotels and in many European hotels guests accept that. However, we paid near enough 3,000 GBP for a week's holiday and, frankly, don't expect to experience this sort of thing at Hilton! Maybe I would accept this in a cheaper establishment but when you expect guests to pay for a 5-star experience, you need to be sure that you can offer such an experience. My second issue was a shuttle to and from the beach. This is a complimentary service provided to hotel guests. From memory, shuttles travel to/from the beach at 15 min intervals or so. The issue is that when it comes to 3-4 pm, there are so many people returning from the beach back to the hotel that there is never enough space, so many people are having to wait for the next shuttle because they didn't manage to squeeze into the first one. Again, I would have thought that Hilton would reconsider certain scheduling during the so called peak hour instead of making their guests wait in the heat. Finally, the service in the restaurant during breakfast and dinner is very slow. Breakfast time often builds up a long queue while people wait to be seated and at dinner time waiting for your drinks is like waiting for the second coming of Christ, which, once again, is not acceptable at a hotel like Hilton. This, however, is not down to the hotel staff. There are simply not enough of them for the number of people and the size of the dining area they have to serve! Other than that, the hotel is very good. The staff is generally friendly and very helpful. They all have excellent attitude and are very polite. It's a real shame that these small operational detail lets the hotel down. Attention to detail is what distinguishes hotels such as Hilton from others and, unfortunately, I felt that this place lacks this attention despite being positioned in a lovely location and having great staff.
