We stayed here after our trip to thorpe park, unfortunately we arrived late Sun eve so restaurant was closing, pool was shut so nothing really to do, bit overpriced for drinks and the room menu was not for our liking, room quite basic could of been cleaner but was tidy and we just needed a bed, was not the best nights sleep we had bed not comfy. The hotel itself was very nice, the staff were friendly, unfortunately did not experience the pool area etc as very busy and children running around. But the breakfast was very nice lots of choice can eat as much as you like and return from cooked breakfast to fruit and yog, cereal, pastries, toast, pancakes and waffles, lots of juices rhubarb especially tasty and hot drinks. Wish we could of experienced more here but spa was fully booked. Collapse

We stayed at the hotel as we were visiting Legoland. This hotel is one of the hotel's offering a 2nd day free for Legoland. There were four of us, including a 5 and 3 year old. We stayed in a family room, on the ground floor, with two good size double beds. Had all the stuff you would expect in your room. The good: - Caters well for children and Legoland visits, so kids both got a pirates or princess pack (colouring in, stickers etc) - Has three big TV near reception- Nintendo wee (I think), PS4, and DVD playing Pixar or Dreamworks films - Fantastic breakfast, with loads of choice- pastries, cereal, waffle maker, cooked breakfast, toast etc. All buffet style. The fruit drinks were also great. - Free WiFi if you are BT Broadband or WiFi customer, if you are Hilton Honours member it is supposed to be free too. Had job to get on with BT, but eventually got there. - There is a massive garden, and 25 acres of woodland (but we did not really get a chance to explore). - Pool ad gym- free to use for you stay. For the kids this was great, which meant we had two days in Legoland, and a 3rd free morning in the hotel at the pool. Did not use the gym. - Parents note: I only notices it has a sauna and steam room on the last day! The pool is open late, so you could take it in turns to pop down for 20 minutes :) - It was our son's birthday and they brought him out a little candle in a cake casing with cream (a nice touch) The not so good (and I am being very picky here): - Would have been nice to some decent play equipment for the kids, like you would see in an park- there is something there but not very exciting - Dinner, the menu looked great but pricey (I am being picky here!), and of course there is in room dinning. Location: - It is just under 10 miles from Legoland - It is in the opposite direction to Windsor and the M4 junction, so it meant at the end of the day we out and going the other way - Close to Wokingham (the old town part is lovely, and not what I thought), so easy reach of Nandos, and other chains, it is maybe a mile away. - So even though dinner at the hotel would have been expensive, with other food so close it was not a problem - One the route between Legoland and the hotel was a big Tescos, so easy to stock up on stuff. Cost was just over £300 for 3 nights, we were there at the early May bank holiday. Collapse

I was reluctant to leave a review about my families horrendous experience until I given the Manager a chance to call me as promised....... I was assured by the staff that they were as disgusted as I was with the treatment with recieved and that the Manager would want to do his/her best to resolve the situation. My booking was Friday 27th April as a special treat for my daughter's 13th Birthday. Things were so bad we couldn't even stay the night. I was TOLD to expect a call from the Manager last Monday...... 6 days on and I have still heard nothing. I will be writing an in depth review if I still don't get a call from the Manager in the next couple of days Collapse
