Easy 10 min walking distance from Sheffield city centre shops etc Friendly and professional staff particularly main reception. Hotel is dated and In need of a renovation. Our room had quite a bit of wear and tear and the beds were soft and noisy (wooden squeaky bed base). Despite the need for some modernisation the room was clean and functional. Collapse

When we arrived we had to wait nearly 2 hours for our rooms to be ready, baring in mind we had just spent nearly £200 for our rooms (we had 2 rooms between 4 of us) once we finally got our room keys, we went up to the rooms to find that there was only 1 single robe between 4 of us, so had to go back down to reception and wait an hour and a half for our missing robes just so we could use the spa facilities! This made it past 6.30pm before we could even go into the spa. Once we finally got into the spa, we found the facilities extremely dated. Very small hot tub could barely fit 5 people, you’d be lucky to even get in there. Beds in the rooms were absolutely tiny, struggled to fit in there on my own let alone having to share! Rooms again, very dated! Did not feel satisfied with the money we had spent at all. I had a fall in my room, my ankle buckled so reached out in front of me to catch my fall hoping the wall would stop me falling onto the floor and my hand went straight through the wall! Chipboard! Like paper! Been sent a bill for £350? A hand sized hole, £350.. I picked the piece of wall up that I had accidentally broken, couldn’t believe my eyes. The thickness of 4 pieces of paper one behind the other. Caretaker told me himself it would take 10 minutes to fix, was not a hard job. But the Hilton made sure not to let the caretaker fix it for a good 3 nights to rake in money for the room they couldn’t sell. Baring in mind they haven’t actually been full so the room wouldn’t of cost a penny anyway! They could use other rooms instead! So not only have they tried to completely rip me off, they’ve also lied about costs and taken purpose extra time just to try and have an excuse as to why the bill was so high! Complete rip off murchants. We spent £200 on rooms with the Hilton. Didn’t use any of the tea and coffee facilities or the shower facilities, left both rooms absolutely spotless, was honest about my accident and still the Hilton had no compassion or appreciation in my honesty. All they are interested in is money. Product not good, staff rude, all money grabbers! Collapse

A lovely hotel, hard working and kind staff, room very comfortable and we were well looked afer in every way. Swimming pool is open 7am-9pm, kids allowed 8am-8pm, changing rooms a bit cold but the pool lovely and warm, event catering and the restaurant all lovely food. Only one negative, the staff are under strict instructions not to microwave baby food for guests. Hot water bath won't work on frozen food! But otherwise really recommended. Collapse
