Not what we expected. Room was small. Breakfast was mediocre and selection was limited and low quality. Not the typical Hilton high quality that we are accustomed to. Executive lounge was subpar. Will not be returning to this Hilton.

We booked a Paris vacation for our 20th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, the hotel we booked (new, boutique hotel) had a delayed opening so we were rebooked at the Hilton Paris Opera. The room and furnishings are old and in need of refurbishment. Consequently, the bed and pillows are uncomfortable. They probably need to add dehumidifiers to remove some of the moisture and odor. The food in the Executive Lounge has been subpar and cocktails at the downstairs lounge are extremely overpriced. I am most upset that when I sent my husband, who has Parkinson's Disease, to the concierge to inquire where we could buy two advance purchase tickets to the Eiffel Tower. The concierge agent used my husband's disability to sell him two tickets with a tour guide totaling US$165. He did not discuss the price with my husband. We only learned of the charge when we saw it post on our credit card. When we complained to the hotel manager, he said that the concierge is a separate company unrelated to the hotel so they could not do anything to help in this matter. Very disappointing!! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone...especially not for a special event. Collapse

We spent 4 nights at this beautiful and updated Hilton. Booked an executive room that included both breakfast and happy hour buffets. The room and bathroom were spacious and modern, with a fabulous shower, not the usual hard to get into and out of tub. The food and beverage at the buffets was of excellent quality. There is also a nice little light bite restaurant attached called Le Pain Quotidian, which we also took advantage of. When we asked for a straight back chair in the room, the front desk responded immediately and brought one in. The room service folks were also superb, as they handled my husband’s ice pack to and from the freezer twice daily. There were always cabs readily available outside the hotel. The location is superb, near the St Lazare train station, pharmacies and other stores, as well as many of the tourist sites. All in all , there is much to enjoy at this hotel. Collapse

Check-in : It was pleasant and smooth. Front desk agent was warm and friendly. She asked us what brought us to their property, and when we told her that we were celebrating our anniversary, she gave us coupons for free drinks at the hotel bar. The Room: The room was really tiny, contemporary design, tastefully decorated and CLEAN.The bathroom was small, a heavy person will not be able to fit in the shower. Location is great! We stayed for three nights and never had a problem with noise. Our room was located on the 3rd floor facing another building-345. Never heard any noise! Stayed for 3 nights and really slept well-great bed!( My husband and I cant remember when was the last time we slept for 8 hrs straight!). They have a mini fridge with sodas inside which we did not touch:) No microwave -which we did not really need:) We did not have an issue with air conditioning, which is often an issue in hotels in Europe:) As to location: When you go out of the hotel and you turn right, you'll see the train station Gare-St.Lazare-( sometimes is closed due to strike) where there's a mall. In the mall, there's a grocery on the 2nd floor which is open until 11pm I believe-( just the grocery). There is Starbucks in the mall too:) It's about 15-20 min walk to Opera Garnier and to the Big Bus Info office ( included in Paris pass hop On/ off) 11 Ave del'Opera. Dining: The hotel has their own restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner but we did not try it. Instead, across the street is a McDonalds and decent yet pricey restaurants. We did not have breakfast in the hotel, instead we across the hotel,we ate at the restaurant cafe Marco Polo which is not bad.Their coffee is good here too. Had dinner at Garnier, recommended by the Front Desk agent, across the street at the corner, which is a seafood restaurant.Pricey but big servings, good food and great service too! Shopping:From the hotel, you cross the street, and head to Blvd Haussmann you'll see shopping stores like Printemps, Galeries Lafayette etc. Also Inside the Train station, as I have mention, there is a mall. Getting a taxi is not a problem.Taxis are always lined up in front of the hotel. You'll pay about 10 euros to get to Louvre. We had a great experience staying here, and employees we encountered were warm and friendly. Collapse

We stayed here 6 nights and enjoyed our location! We were close to the metro, and within walking distance of the central part of the city. This location would be a shopper’s dream, as it is so close to the gorgeous, high-end department store, Le Printemps as well as the Galleries Lafayette. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely entry and a spacious room and big bathroom with 2 sinks. There was plenty of closet space and drawer space. The bed was very comfortable. The room had blackout curtains and we were able to catch up on our sleep as needed. The bathroom had a Roman shade, two sinks, and a walk-in shower.desk, flat screen tv, coffee / tea machine, hair dryer. We were on the club level and enjoyed free breakfast each morning and adult beverages and appetizers each evening. Friendly, helpful staff, including the wonderful concierge. Beautiful lobby bar. We loved the old world elegance of this hotel with a modern room for our stay. We would happily stay here again! Clean room. Quirky artsy photography of Paris in the public spaces: Collapse
