Hotel location was good, but the room was very small. There was hardly any space to sit down. One had to lie down on the bed to rest. Room looks much bigger on the web site. Moreover, we had to wait till 6.30 PM to get the room. See more

Aside from the fact that value for money and Paris are never synonymous, Hilton Paris is well located right next to St. Lazare train station which is great for the metro and trips to Versailles. It also has a fantastic lobby bar with attentive staff and great cocktails. The rooms are well appointed and equipped the way you would expect a Hilton to be. Special mention must go to Angela on the HHonors desk who did her very best to be surly, unhelpful & dismissive: everything from printing tickets to arranging a late check out for us was a problem for her. It is 7:39AM and still no electricity(they were supposed to turn the electricity back on at 6AM). I have bronchitis and the overnight feel like temperature was -2C degrees with no heat, no wifi, just no electricity whatsoever yet they have the audacity to charge a full rate for this night when really the room was not functional for more than 8 hours? Shame on you #HiltonHotels! When I checked in, there was no mention of any of this and suddenly you just provide letters to your hotel guests informing on the day of? There was no mention of this when I reserved either. Shouldn’t you have announced this on you reservation app so the guests could have chosen a different Hilton maybe? And since informing this yesterday few hours(like in the afternoon which I didn’t see until I came back to the room until early evening) before you were cutting off the electricity, shouldn’t you have offered extra heating or heated blankets? Where is your common sense? This is not some 3 star hotel but a 4 star one with colossal mistake in not communicating with the guests in advance and not preparing for the extra steps in case of not being able to turn the electricity back on by 6AM... I do not want your “I’m sorry” basket of cookies and bottles of water. I demand a full refund for this night for suffering from your incompetence. Finally, how dare you say “with personal warm regards” when there is no heat? #electricityfailureinwinterathotels #dealingwithincompetenthotelmanagement #HiltonHonors #lackofbusinessskills101 Collapse
The most unsympathetic Hotel and Managers

I'm writing a review because i had scheduled an upcoming stay at this hotel on March12th - for one night only for my HONEYMOON. Due to a medical situation I am unable to make my honeymoon (going to Paris, the city of love was a dream of ours - something i wouldn't ever give up unless i honestly had no other choice to do so). As I reached out to the hotel with my medical concern they were extremely short and mentioned that they will not be able to provide a refund. Mind you, my reservation is 1 month away. It was very hurtful to know and understand that this hotel didn't care about the medical situation and instead has been insisting constantly on keeping the money and will not be able to provide a refund. This hotel is disgusting when it comes to their customer service. As per previous reviews, it sounds like they're breaking all Hilton 'rules' by not complying to their guests needs and by changing and keep money when they're not able to execute the results of their stay. I just hope no one every has to ever deal with this Hotel the way i have and hopefully this hotel knows and understands that money isn't everything. Collapse

Ok, YES it is pricy. But, that is no reason to downgrade this hotel, as many reviewers seem to do. It is also no the Top notch of Parisian hotels (Like the Ritz, George V, The Meurice, etc. What it is, is an elegant, well maintained and well staffed hotel that fits in the notch just below luxury, but above pedestrian. The rooms are small, but well appointed, the staff will see to your needs and fix any small problems you may have. The breakfast buffet is OK. But, I'd recommend going out... even just down to the street to the Pain Quotidian, or any of the new 3rd-wave coffee places cropping up around paris (see beanhunter.com) Collapse

This Hilton property is definitely one of the more beautiful ones, with a stunning lobby that is breathtaking every time you see it. The rooms appear to be recently renovated and are very clean but are on the smaller side (As is the case with many hotels in Europe that are also heritage or historic buildings). The location of the hotel is very convenient. It's walking distance to the main shopping area of Lafayette and right next to Lazare train station. However the service was a but sub par. First when I made a mistake on my booking and wanted to extend my stay by one day, the manager refused. Although I could see the regular rooms where avaliable, the manager insisted I could only have the suite. After calling the reservations hotline, the management still refused. It was only after I called Hilton Honours customer care that they were able to accommodate me. Then when I finally checked in, the staff at front desk got annoyed when they couldn't find my booking and then said it was my fault for having 2 bookings on their record. The breakfast staff also spent 10min chatting to each other before seating a line of guests every morning. However I must give credit to housekeeping staff, who were super quick in helping me replace a broken kettle and double checking I had everything I needed for a good stay. Overall good location and beautiful interiors, but disappointing service for the level that the hotel is. Collapse
