It was our honeymoon trip in Italy. We stayed in different hotels in 4 cities and Hilton Milan was the last one before we off to Barcelona. However, this hotel made us a very bad experience, The receptionist was so rude to us, no greeting and no smiling even a goodbye. After we checked in and got in our room, I called the hotline and wanted to ask the WiFi password. She asked me my room number then said. Your room doesn’t provide free WiFi, bye! “WT...?” Nowadays, a hotel doesn’t provide WiFi and with this kinda awful attitude?! I would never stay at this hotel again! Please don’t stay in this hotel cos I promise you surely won’t be happy to stay at Hilton Milan! Collapse

We really liked our 5 night stay here. All the staff were lovely and helpful. Clean and spacious rooms. Took us about 15 mins to walk in to the centre of Milan which was fine. This hotel is only 2 mins from the train station but set back enough not to be noisy. We took the train to Verona for the day which we would recommend doing if you’re on holiday in Milan and looking for a day trip. We would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Milan. Collapse

This hotel is located 2 minutes walk from Milan Centrale train station which was extremely convenient for me as I arrived by train from Turin. I was looking forward to seeing one of the newer updated rooms however I think so far it is only guest rooms and deluxe rooms which have been updated. Johnny who checked me very kindly upgraded me to an executive room on arrival, I was grateful but slightly disappointed. Once I got to the room however I really liked it's classic charm. I loved the furniture and the room was extremely comfy and well designed, however could do with power outlets better spread around. Perhaps I shall sample the newer designs soon. The executive lounge could do with updating. The offering was not too bad but the lounge does get extremely busy and at times there is nowhere to sit and there is noone attending the lounge during the day and dirty plates and tables are left for hours and hours. Breakfast in the morning in the restaurant was nice and the staff were friendly and efficient. Check out was also quick and smooth, they have a great front desk team. This hotel is nice and overall definitely recommended. Collapse

We went on vacation with my friend , rooms and service are nice. Staff is friendly .we had an issue with one of the orders in room service, took at least an hour and half to deliver to our room. Apart of that hotel is very nice and we may come back .

My entire stay the room across from mine is smoking. The hotel is supposed to be non-smoking. Every morning I wake up early because my room is filling with the smell of smoke and it is overwhelming. The first morning, housekeeping was in the hall when it smelled terribly of smoke and I pointed to the room it is coming from and asked if they were allowed to smoke in the hotel. The woman from the hotel seemed unconcerned by it. I tried to block the bottom of my door with a towel to stop the smoke, but it did not help. Also, I ordered room service one night and what I tried to order they told me "No." It was very strange, I tried to ask for an explanation to see what I could order, and he tried to hang up on me. Then, the man kept yelling at me until I just agreed to take whatever he was saying for the beverage. It is not my fault they do not have what is listed on the menu, so please tell me what you do have! The pasta with aubergine had no aubergine, and was cold. The cheese selection was very disappointing, with a texture like rubber and it was warm. I have ordered the cheese here before and it was very nice so this was surprising. The speed of the delivery was the only positive part of the experience. The beds are very comfortable. And on the side of the hotel the rooms are quiet. The shower pressure is good. The WiFi is an acceptable speed for working. I am a Hilton Gold member and this is the first time I have been upgraded here. Instead of my normal room, I received a King Deluxe. The closet is much larger than in the regular queen rooms I have had in past. This was nice considering my week-long stay. I travel for business and I typically select the normal Queen room because I do not need such a big bed for just me. I didn't realize the difference of the closets though. I wish you could control the temperature of the rooms more. You can only change the temperature 3 degrees, but it didn't feel like it made a difference. I was cold in the room unless under the blankets. The temperature outside was a bit colder than normal for this time of year, as reported by my Italian colleagues. The cleanliness of the bathroom needs more attention, the tub had visible soap residue and there is some pink mold in the corners. I was so tired when I arrived it wasn't bad enough for me to be inconvenienced in requesting they come clean the tub again. The breakfast is fine, nothing is spectacular but there is a lot of variety. I do not like eggs or waffles but for those who do will probably love the breakfast as I noted this was popular. The fresh orange juice is my favorite part. My second morning, and first time at the breakfast, after 20 minutes of waiting I did have to track down a server just to get a cafe. On my last visit the servers were more attentive offering coffees as soon as you were seated. Once I did get the attention of the server, she was pleasant. Overall, I will probably stay here again despite this stay lacking from my previous. The location is very convenient. I am in Milan 2-3 times a year, and I find the price to be a bit higher than other 4-star hotels in the area. But, I typically know what I am getting with Hilton so I don't change to another hotel. In past, I have started at two different hotels in the Corso Como area, one an AC Marriott, and after those experiences I prefer to stay at the Hilton. I just wish the hotel would enforce the No Smoking policy. Collapse
