Great location near the city centre and railway station. Rooms are a little tired and need updating, especially windows which let in quite a bit of noise road and tannoy from station. Staff mostly good except waitress in bar who did her best to ignore us. We’d heard car park was small so we parked at nearby qpark, the hotel is a partner and provides discount card to give same rate as hotel car park. We didn’t have breakfast but went to cafe Nero just around corner. I would stay again but it wouldn’t be my first choice until they do some work to it. Collapse

Having not been to Leeds for quite a few years I decided to visit with my husband for an overnight stay. We booked Hilton automatically as we always stay in Hilton hotels when we have a hotel break. This hotel is poor. Personally I didn't like the layout of having to either use escalator or lift to get to reception. When using the lift from the car park to get in to the hotel there was a horrible smell. The decor looks old and shabby and having paid for a suite I expected more. Compared to Liverpool, Chester and Manchester Hilton it was not on the same level at all. I was on the 8th floor and the room was so cold. I had to go to reception as couldn't understand why temperature was at its highest yet we were freezing ! I was advised it was climate control ? And not heating for the room ? A very old blanket and heater were brought up to the room not making a difference at all. I went to reception again and the manager advised he wouldn't charge me the original rate I had paid for the room which given it was so cold and uncomfortable I think was fair. The staff on reception were very friendly and Breakfast was nice. In summary I think the hotel was not the usual Hilton standard I've experienced before and is way overdue a refurb. I would definitely not return and not recommend. Collapse
Worst nights sleep. Overpriced.

So my partner choose this hotel for it's location as we decided to come to Leeds for a birthday shopping trip and meal out at bibis. Location was great but that's all. On arriving we discover a ridiculously small old car park the hotel offers (very tight corners so watch your cars) to then discover that reception is on the 3rd floor, my partner is claustrophobic so can't use lifts, so it's the stairs we always use. The stairs here felt like an episode from the Equaliser with flickering lights and wobbly rails and very cold. We finally found reception which itself looked nice but that was the only bit. We had our bags saved behind reception as you can't book in until 3pm and off we went shopping. We returned later that night to find despite my partner requesting a lower floor room in her booking due to using the stairs, we're on the 5th floor. We get to our room ourselves, no one to help with bags or show us to it. Only to find it's a box, literally the smallest room we've stayed in. With very old fashioned MFI looking wooden furniture. The tiny bathroom has a stand up shower within a bath and with only what needs a full refurb bathroom due to peeling paintwork and missing grout in the tiles. We put the tv on and relaxed on the bed, only to find it the most uncomfortable bed we've had the misfortune to have to use. If was also the loudest bed with every movement a creek or a groan. The windows seem very thin as any and all traffic passing in the city was heard and loudly. Even with the tv on and turned up you could hear it and that of some local clubs music. As the night went on you could hear every movement of people talking and using the corridor, let alone once the people using the room next door to ours come in sometime during the night laughing and chatting, it woke me up and I heard every word (wasn't much to tell) Needless to say I've had the worst nights sleep in any hotel. With it being a Hilton you expect much better and for the price as well. You're far better off at a village hotel or Thorpe park hotel outside of Leeds where we've stayed before and got a taxi in. I think this is my last visit to any Hilton hotels as I'm not impressed one bit at the standard it offers for the price. Collapse

I brought my wife to the hotel for a stay for her birthday as we had not been to Leeds for quite sometime. We arrived and checked in with the app very easily. We changed and went out for a meal and few drinks, which was great. Then we came back to the hotel to go to sleep, to discover the hardest, creakiest bed know to man. So I contacted reception and we were moved to the floor below to a more newly decorated room. When we tried the bed it was exactly the same really noisy and very uncomfortable, we were advised by the concierge that they were mostly like that. I’ve been a Hilton member for years and have to say the beds had always been great. However Leeds Hilton should be ashamed of what they are terrible beds. We had no sleep as every single move woke each other up due to how loud the bed was creaking and I know have a bad back. The new bathroom decor is nice, I did contemplate sleeping in the bath.
