On August 12th, I held my daughters 15th quinceañera beachside birthday party at the Hilton Ft. lauderdale Beach Resort. It was amazing! My daughter didn't want a traditional party & we had to get creative. We had private cabanas, catered food (that was delicious & ordered thru the restaurant) & I provided decor & cake. It was great! We had a DJ the food continuously came out throughout our time & the staff catered to our guests as if they were gold! The Manager, Corey Sax, the Manager, Patrick & our server who was the "Man of the Hour" Hector were all amazing! All they wanted was for me to relax & have a great time! & even though, I was, of course, still "all over the place", I still managed to enjoy every moment! Luis Silva (pool attendant) was a huge part in all of the organization & still stayed behind on his time off to make sure everything went smoothly. I also rented a beautiful ocean view suite on the 10th floor with a full pool view! I was able to check in early, this made arranging everything so much easier! What is most important is that my daughter was super happy with everything & it was "all that she wanted" & then some. I am forever grateful to all the staff that helped to make her 15th Birthday so special & memorable for her! I am looking forward to celebrating my birthday, next year with them all!! Collapse

We had a one-bedroom suite on the 8th floor with an ocean view, room is on side of hotel but you do get a nice ocean and beach view. The vacant lot on that side, north, not attractive though. Would have preferred a higher floor but arriving early I took what was available. Front desk was helpful, not overly friendly. I had booked the breakfast package but no mention of it when handed my keys, I asked and she said the system did not show that. I showed her my email confirmation and she then added it. The hotel is somewhat dated, mainly in common areas. The room was more modern, except some minor areas. Two large balconies that connect, one off living area and other from bedroom. Full kitchen and extra half bath. The master bath was very large, 2 sinks, jetted tub and separate shower. Bed was comfortable and room mostly quite. The included breakfast buffet was very good and service both then and at lunch was nice. Lunch was a bit expensive for what we had. Shared a sandwich and guac, one beer and soft drink was around $50. Beach is directly across from hotel, did not explain towel and chair service but I found it to the right after entering beach area. I don't understand forcing me to stand in line at the cafe to get my two free small bottled waters, other than a ploy to get you to buy something while in there. Collapse

Overall this hotel was the best value. I've stayed at the adjoining hotels in the area for business, but this was by far my best experience. Food provided during the conference I was attending was good, likewise both restaurants within the hotel were good as well. A special shout out to the staff that worked the pool area (Patrick & Wil) for their excellent customer service. I would highly recommend a stay here. Collapse

Great hotel, perfect location. Resort fee is well worth it. Would HIGHLY recommend again. Hotel is literally right across from the beach. Have to valet park. Within walking distance of all the hot spots on the beach.

The room was a typical Hilton hotel room, decent size and adequate clothes storage. The small kitchenette was a nice plus for coffee in the morning. The bathroom was a good size and included both a shower and bath tub. The shower was small, so it would have been better to do without the tub and provide a larger shower as most people don't use bathtub in hotels. The bed was good, but the pillows were very hard. Even the pillows that housekeeping told us were the "soft" pillows were in fact hard as well. Bring your own pillows if you want a good nights sleep. Were were located on the 21st floor and unfortunately put in a room directly outside the housekeeping closet. Each morning we were awaken by 8 a.m. due to housekeeping talking/shouting outside of our room. The only good thing about this was that I didn't have to set an alarm clock. Overall the hotel staff was ok, with a few exceptions of rudeness at the front desk and bar. The mandatory valet parking was really great, although at a charge of $39 a day, it was a bit pricy. The hotel had four elevators, but one three were in working order so often times you had to wait quite a while for elevator service. Overall the hotel was ok and probably similar to most in a busy resort area. Collapse
