We are currently here now. My wife surprised me as a mini honeymoon the day after our wedding. To start with the sauna is out of use. Then we find out that the dinner we have booked as part of the package has to be eaten in the bar not the restraunt (which we had been sitting in all afternoon) as they are refurbishing it. No apology nothing. Don't get me wrong the hotel is lovely but as a surprise trip my wife is obviously dissatisfied. Also we have never been to a spa before so didn't know the do's and don'ts. Nothing was explained so we are still non the wiser. We have just had breakfast and it was like stepping into someone's office. Laptops and people on the phone everywhere. Completely uncomfortable for me. Collapse
Just what we expected!

We stayed for 2 nights for a friends wedding. We upgraded to a King Room with a balcony. The bed was very comfortable and the room very clean however the room and hotel is very dated and needs a spruce up. The shower in our room was terrible, not powerful at all, however made up by the fact the bath filled up really quickly. No biscuits with tea & coffee making facilities The cost of drinks in the hotel is extortionate. £3.75 for a glass of Diet Coke and £2.70 for a bottle of lemonade - I don’t see how this is justifiable. The food in the bar was excellent, breakfast less so, microwaved bacon and some areas of the breakfast area were very dark. The room for the wedding venue was great. The location is lovely, great grounds. The leisure area was smaller than I anticipated. Pool was nice but not big enough to get s good swim in and the sauna was out of order (which is s regular occurrence according to a regular member we got chatting too). Overall a nice stay but more for the wedding and company. A bit of decorating in the room to cover up damp patches, peeling wallpaper would make a big difference. Collapse

will start with the good points Booked a spa night away through last minute.com £69.50 for 1 night stay, dinner breakfast and a spa treatment included. 10 women booked as it was for a birthday, we booked ahead for all spa treatments as suggested and had no problems arranged a birthday board for the birthday girl ahead of time as well...this was complimentary which was very good.. the food was excellent..had lunch, most ordered the all day brekky which they said was nice everything was grilled which was a plus for the healthy heads. i had the burger which was very nice.. homemade meat patty which is good in taste.. we pre ordered our food for dinner a 2 course meal was included in the package, i had the steak which was cooked to perfection. now the negative... we arrived at approx 12:30 (our 1st person was booked for a spa treatment at 1:20.. we were told only 1 of 5 rooms were ready.. reception was very muddled and slow.. we were told to come back in 30mins and all rooms would be ready when we went back it was a different woman who had no idea what we were talking about... this resulted in us getting to the spa late..to which we were told by the spa that we would not get the full 25mins treatment but only 10mins... when we explained it was because of the reception checking us in we were met with a 'well theres nothing we can do we are fully booked' we tried to explain that it was our party of 10 that had booked out the spa all day with treatments to which they shrugged and said you will all still only get 10 mins... this was very disappointing.. especially since we arrived early. The pool is quite small, luckily there was not much people when we went but 10-15 people would make it very cramped. the steam and sauna rooms are good however these too are quite small...can get maybe 3-4 people in each comfortably at 1 time. the decor of the hotel is very outdated.. the rooms are basic and the beds are on wheels my bed was up against the wall so i didn't notice but when we sat on the other bed it slid from underneath! although we laughed it off this could be a health and safety issue! the hotel grounds itself are beautiful... i came in January but i imagine it would look very nice in Summer.. however there were a few workmen doing drilling and hammering during the day.., doesn't look like its being refurbished just looked like they were fixing damaged items... 1 was the door to the restaurant..there was dust everywhere not very hygienic! Fantastic overnight stay which included a 25 minute treatment, 2 course dinner, breakfast and spa use. We had an amazing time. Great value for money. Beds are a nice size and very comfortable and soft with slippers and robe, tea facilities, iron and iron board, hairdryer and water in room. Also note a large screen television. The 25 minute facial was very relaxing. The person carrying out the treatment was very friendly and did a really good job. Only small issue was that it was a nightmare to book our timeslot for our treatments. This was not acceptable as the process of booking treatments should be more straightforward. The corridors are looking slightly dated and in need of better decorations. But the bar and restaurant areas all look very well decorated. Swimming pool area and spa facilities are on the small size. Also if your looking for romantic break please note that children are also within this area. So it can get noisy. Also space in hot tub, sauna and steam room has limited space within it. Please note that drinks and other food items are expensive at the hotel. You might want to buy wine etc prior to arrival. As you are buying London prices even though you are not in London. This is due to Hilton prices being universal across all Hilton hotels. We enjoyed ourselves meet some other groups of people who also came to stay overnight too. I would recommend coming her as part of a special offer. It is great for couples, friends and groups. Also venue rooms available for conference, weddings and other special occasions. Staff all did a good job at reception and within the bar and restaurant. Shame there as no towels at the swimming pool area. We ended up taking the towels from the room. We had a great night stay. Breakfast had a wide range of choice. Very tasty. I especially enjoyed making the waffles. Thank you Hilton Cobham. I would definitely return for 1-2 night a Hilton hotel in the future. Collapse
